ForeverWisp public beta - all starting areas, levels 1-20

INSTALL
Close World of Warcraft. On Windows, right-click the ZIP in File Explorer and
choose Extract All. OPEN the extracted download folder and copy the INNER
ForeverWisp folder. On Mac, double-click the ZIP in Finder; open the extracted
download if it contains another folder. Copy the folder with ForeverWisp.toc
immediately inside it, not the outer download wrapper or the ZIP itself.

Find the active installation through Battle.net: select the Forever beta,
open the gear menu beside Play, then Show in Explorer (Windows) or Reveal in
Finder (Mac). From that installation open _classic_beta_/Interface/AddOns/.
If Battle.net opens _classic_beta_ itself, continue into Interface/AddOns/.
Create Interface and AddOns if missing. Do not assume a drive or install location.

Copy into: _classic_beta_/Interface/AddOns/
Before restarting, check the finished result:
CORRECT
AddOns/
└── ForeverWisp/
    └── ForeverWisp.toc

INCORRECT (example outer download name; your version may differ)
AddOns/
└── foreverwisp-addon-0.28.24-beta.1/
    └── ForeverWisp/
        └── ForeverWisp.toc
Open the outer folder and move its inner ForeverWisp folder into AddOns.

Restart WoW, enable ForeverWisp in AddOns at character selection, then type
/wisp to choose your character's guide.

PURCHASED GUIDES
Keep Wisp installed. Your purchased guide is an additional folder.
Download your personal pack from My guides, even if you update Wisp through
CurseForge. Link the same Battle.net account you play in WoW. Check the required
Wisp version in setup. Extract and open the personal ZIP, then copy its inner
ForeverWispPack_* folder beside ForeverWisp. For Horde 20-30, verify:

AddOns/
├── ForeverWisp/
│ └── ForeverWisp.toc
└── ForeverWispPack_guide_hl01/
    └── ForeverWispPack_guide_hl01.toc

Do not copy the outer foreverwisp-guide-hl01 download folder into AddOns.
Restart WoW and enable both ForeverWisp and ForeverWisp — Horde 20–30 (or the
name of your purchased guide) in AddOns, then choose the guide in /wisp.

UPGRADE
Close WoW and back up WTF outside Interface/AddOns. In CurseForge, update Wisp
for the same Forever installation. For manual ZIPs, extract and open the
download, then replace only AddOns/ForeverWisp with the inner ForeverWisp folder.
Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables: they hold your settings and progress.
Keep paid personal packs beside Wisp; update them separately from My guides.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Wisp absent from AddOns: use Battle.net to check the active installation and
verify AddOns/ForeverWisp/ForeverWisp.toc. Remove extra wrapper nesting by moving
the inner folder into AddOns, then fully quit and restart WoW.
Wisp works but purchased guide missing: verify the personal pack's folder and
matching .toc beside Wisp. Enable both entries, update the compatible free addon
and personal pack, then check the right faction or Library > Professions.
Guide visible but account-locked: check the linked Battle.net account. If your
BattleTag changed, re-verify it on the website and download a fresh pack. For a
different linked account, contact support. Do not delete saved progress.

NAVIGATION DISPLAY
Open Settings > Navigation > Display to choose Wisp arrow, Wisp in-world marker,
WaypointUI or None. The arrow stays the default. Each choice shows its own controls;
map pins, search-area shading and guide progress remain independent.

The experimental Wisp marker uses native placement, with a small beacon while
travelling and a destination card nearby. The card sits above the destination,
with the card, distance and chevrons raised together above the ground-level point. At the inset circular boundary, an arrow
beside the Wisp icon points towards the destination. It marks the guide's map
destination, not an exact NPC attachment, and arrival does not complete a quest.

WaypointUI 1.7.3 is optional and must be installed separately. Wisp uses its public
navigation API without modifying it. Wisp's own in-world marker currently needs
WaypointUI disabled in the AddOns list; otherwise choose WaypointUI or Wisp arrow.
An unavailable display falls back to the Wisp arrow and retains your preference.
Personal destinations take priority. Choose Follow Wisp to resume guide navigation.
Broader camera, movement and gameplay acceptance of the marker remains pending.

OPTIONAL DUNGEONS
Dungeon trips appear within supported leveling routes. Add a trip to collect
its quests; choose Go now when ready to run it, or defer/decline and keep
questing. Owners of 20-30 guides should also update their personal faction
pack from My guides. Full native dungeon runs remain unverified.

STARTING PARTWAY THROUGH
Choose Start this guide. Wisp applies the suggested starting point using your
level, active quests and completed-quest history when the client provides it.
If quest data is still loading, allow it to arrive before starting.

When you outlevel a chapter, Wisp quietly sets aside its earlier independent
quests. Prerequisites of later quests, class quests and quests in your log
stay on the route. Set-aside work is not marked as a completed quest.
You can restore it from All steps or the guide tools.

REPORTING A PROBLEM
Use Send feedback in the addon or /wisp feedback. Describe what happened and
what you expected. Open https://www.foreverwisp.com/feedback, return to the
addon and use Copy feedback, then press Ctrl+C (Cmd+C on Mac). Paste the
report into the website and send it. An optional screenshot can help.

KNOWN BETA LIMITATIONS
This package targets WoW Forever 1.60.1, interface 16001. Route definition
and compatibility evidence includes build 69913. It is not a Classic Era package.

All eight starting-area guides target level 20. Automated order, dependency,
progression and upgrade checks do not replace complete live route/class runs.
Some cave interiors, scattered objects and new NPCs retain approximate markers.
Follow written directions and live quest objectives if a marker is off.

Quests alone may not provide enough XP at every boundary. Use Find XP if you
fall behind. Some additional quests or kills may be needed.

Reported level-up hitches remain under investigation. Disable Wisp if they
disrupt play and send feedback with your addon version and what happened.

The Alliance Skyborne Druid Cure Poison branch is restored following Blizzard's
1 October fix. Current in-game offers, travel and spell receipt remain unverified
in Wisp. Horde Skyborne Cure Poison and both factions' Aquatic Form paths remain
unresolved. Earlier Horde Skyborne Rogue reports include missing lockpicking
quest items; current availability still needs checking. Other class eligibility
remains under review. Use Quest unavailable? to continue if a quest is not offered.
See https://www.foreverwisp.com/addon#known-issues for current testing notes.

Players report that the 24 September beta client update restores settings
across restarts. Wisp verification on the updated client remains pending.
Keep your WTF folder backed up. If progress resets, review the suggested
starting point and send feedback. No private saving helper or backup macros
are included in this package.

Feedback drafts are temporary. Send or copy a draft before reloading the UI.

OLD PRIVATE-BETA INSTALLATIONS ONLY
Previous private testers should remove obsolete ForeverWisp_BetaRoutes,
ForeverWisp_HumanBetaTest, ForeverWisp_DungeonTest, ForeverWisp_Professions and
ForeverWisp_Gathering150 folders to avoid duplicate guides. Released free guides
are bundled into ForeverWisp. Keep paid ForeverWispPack_* folders and WTF with
SavedVariables. Classic alpha progress may not map to the new routes.
