Choose a guide

Open Guides, choose a playable route and read its requirements. Start guide begins a new route; Continue guide picks up your saved place.

Follow it in game

See the next action, quest and destination. Supported quest progress updates as you play. Open Details when you need more explanation.

Make it your journey

Choose up to two professions. Their trainer and tool stops appear between quests, and the next quest follows automatically in the same panel.

The tester alpha includes automatic quest and profession tracking, navigation and profession stops woven into levelling. Website progress remains separate; Forever client verification is pending.

LEVELLING + PROFESSIONS

One route, with your professions woven in.

Choose your professions

Add up to two professions from your levelling route’s Professions settings. Wisp includes their stops in your route. Pause or remove either profession whenever you want.

Train when the route gets there

For example, a Goldshire visit from level 5 includes learning Skinning and getting a knife. Already trained or equipped? Those steps are satisfied automatically. Mining includes a Stormwind training visit, grouped with its pick and recipe stops.

Keep questing

The next quest follows in the same panel and arrow. Skinning reminders appear on suitable beast quests; Mining reminders appear while questing near copper. You never have to stop questing to hit a profession skill target.

Current placements are authored for the Classic Elwynn test route and await in-game playtesting. Adding a profession later uses an upcoming supported visit. Standalone profession guides remain available from Guides.

The next-step panel, guide library, progress saving, Undo and optional detours are implemented. This source package needs a client interface number before installation. It has not been verified in the Forever client.

TESTER SETUP

Install, open, choose your guide.

  1. Extract the download

    Find the ForeverWisp folder inside. Use the client you intend to test; keep this alpha separate from any trusted guide setup.

  2. Set the client interface number

    In game, enter /run print(select(4, GetBuildInfo())). For each new release, copy ForeverWisp.toc.template to ForeverWisp.toc and replace @INTERFACE@ with the number shown. Ensure the filename does not end in .txt. The included Windows helper can write this file for you.

  3. Put Wisp in your AddOns folder

    The final path should be Interface/AddOns/ForeverWisp/ForeverWisp.toc, alongside the Lua files. Restart the client and enable ForeverWisp in the AddOns list.

  4. Open the matching guide

    Enter /wisp, open Guides and choose Start guide. You can also use the command below to open the selected guide directly. Quest and profession milestones update from supported game data. Manual completion remains available, and adding professions to your route is optional.

If Wisp is missing, check the folder nesting and the .toc filename. If the client reports errors, disable the alpha and include your build and reproduction steps in a report to hello@foreverwisp.com.

WHAT YOU CAN FOLLOW TODAY

Five playable Classic test guides.

The levelling, Mining, Skinning and copper-farming guides are Classic references for testing. All content is free; no route timings or Forever compatibility have been playtest-verified.

A few useful answers.

Is Wisp free?

The Wisp addon and starter guides are free. Expanded guides are planned as individual one-time purchases, with an optional $33.99 launch bundle. There is no launch subscription, and purchases are not open yet. Explore the launch collection.

Does it play the game for me?

No. Wisp displays guidance and saves your progress. Quest-log detection is enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings. It does not move your character, fight, gather or trade for you.

Will website progress appear in game?

No. The guide content is shared; progress is separate. The website saves a browser checklist, and the addon saves progress per character.

How do guide updates arrive?

Free guides arrive with addon updates; purchased packs will be downloaded from your guide library. Keep your SavedVariables when updating. Progress stays for the same guide version. Where an update includes an explicit migration, unchanged step progress carries forward; other versions keep the old record separately and reconcile available quest and profession state.

When will playable routes be ready?

After they have been checked in the actual Forever beta. We will publish the client build, testing date and limitations with each tested route.
