WoW Forever stress test on October 19: download, access and preparation
A WoW Forever stress-test client has appeared in Battle.net with an October 19 date. Here is what is reported, what access details are missing and how to prepare.
When is the WoW Forever stress test?
Wowhead reports an October 19 stress test after a new WoW: Forever - Stress Test option appeared in the Battle.net launcher. Its report shows a separate installation window and says the launcher lists that date.
The announcement has also prompted questions on Reddit about who can join. We have not verified an official opening hour, test duration or access policy from the sources linked here. Do not turn the date into a midnight countdown or assume every account is eligible.

Where to look for the stress-test download
Open World of Warcraft in Battle.net and check the game-version dropdown for the stress-test entry. Wowhead reports that selecting it lets players begin downloading the client. Availability on your own account is the useful check, rather than whether someone else can see it.
Before installing, check the selected version and installation location. Keep track of which client you are opening so a test session does not become an afternoon spent troubleshooting the wrong game folder.
What is still unconfirmed?
A visible installer and permission to log into a test are separate things. The launcher report does not settle the following questions. Check Blizzard’s own test notice and the launcher again before setting aside time.

Make the session useful, even if queues are long
Our suggestion is to pick one small goal. Try the opening quests on the race you want to play, check a class ability you have been curious about, or meet a friend at a familiar landmark. You will learn more from a clear goal than from racing between unrelated tests.
Read your starting route beforehand and note where you intend to stop. Keep a short list of questions, such as whether you can find the next quest, whether a party stays together and whether an objective updates correctly. If access or server stability interrupts the session, that list still gives you a useful place to resume.
Wisp has an installation guide for its supported client. We have not verified Wisp against this separate stress-test client. Check the client version and current compatibility information before copying addon files, and keep your existing settings backed up.
What to record if something breaks
For a useful bug report, note the build, approximate time, character level, area and steps that led to the problem. Separate a login or connection failure from a quest that can be reproduced after logging in.
A busy test is a good time to ask a narrow question. Can you reproduce the missing quest with addons disabled? Does your friend see the same NPC? What does the native quest log say? These observations are more actionable than assuming the whole route or addon is broken.
