THE ADDON, EVOLVING

Release notes

Small improvements for the journey ahead.

Big releases and announcements in Wisp updates

Route review fixes across all ten levelling guides

Every levelling guide was reviewed for quest order, routing, pacing and step text. This update fixes what the review found in all eight 1–20 starters and both 20–35 guides.

  • Horde starters

Prove Your Worth moves to the second Sepulcher visit, and Orc/Troll and Undead hand in The Engraved Ring at Brill. Tauren Hunter pet lessons come at 10, with danger notes before Sludge Fen and Boulder Lode.

  • Alliance starters

Human and Skyborne Alliance class quests come at level 10. Dwarf and Gnome get a better Snowbound and Fire Tar order, and Night Elf makes Gathering Idols optional. If you are too low for The Corruption Abroad, you are told to collect it from Argos later.

  • 20–35 guides

Alliance takes Redridge before Sven’s farm and no longer takes quests it never hands in. Horde now hands in every quest it takes, with a closing Booty Bay and Hemet’s camp visit and plain grind advice at the end.

  • Your progress carries over

Every guide moves up one version. The viewer, your talent plans, professions and flight paths are unchanged. These changes have not been played through in game yet.

Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

Previous updates

September and October 2026

Live themes, Sarkoth order and Horde Herbalism zones0.33.3-beta.1

Choosing a theme restyles Wisp straight away, with no reload. In the Orc and Troll 1–20, Sarkoth comes after the Cutting Teeth and Wayward Weapons hand-ins, and Orc/Troll, Tauren and Skyborne Horde Herbalism 150–200 moves to Arathi.

Dungeon art on the Dungeons page0.33.2-beta.1

The Dungeons page shows each dungeon’s own art behind its card and behind the heading of the dungeon you select, using artwork your game client already has. The dungeon list shows every dungeon at once in taller cards, up to three rows.

Level-20 class quests in the 20–35 guides0.33.1-beta.1

The Alliance and Horde 20–35 guides take you through your level-20 class quests at their own visits, gated to your race and class. Night Elf class quests follow the guide’s Auberdine, Stormwind and Westfall visits, and Horde starters that hand over at level 20 no longer strand their last hand-ins.

Rebuilt 1–35 guides0.33.0-beta.1

All eight 1–20 starters and both 20–35 guides are rebuilt, with tighter hub order, earlier hand-ins and far less walking between zones. Level checks replace Find XP, joining late places you at a sensible point, and each planned hearthstone bind is its own step.

Settings move to four tabs with themes, a theme editor and per-character appearance profiles. The Training & equipment page is removed.

Lighter route reads0.32.24-beta.1

Wisp checks which quests, items, skills and trip choices shape your route once per update instead of on every read, and reads the route without copying it when it only needs to look.

In automated tests on the 0.32.23 guides, the slowest hand-in, level-up and idle frames did 10–16% less addon work and Wisp left 14–23% less memory to clean up.

Lighter hand-in and level-up frames0.32.23-beta.1

When you accept, hand in or abandon a quest, or level up, Wisp moves its panel work to the next two frames, and a reward’s follow-up events no longer start a second full route check when they change nothing.

In automated tests on the 0.32.22 guides, the slowest hand-in frame did 53–60% less addon work and a hand-in that levels you up about 50% less.

Smoother hand-ins and level-ups0.32.22-beta.1

Wisp reads your route without copying it when it only needs to look, remembers which guide you are on instead of searching every installed guide, and reads your progress once per check.

In automated tests on the 0.32.21 guides, the slowest hand-in and level-up frames did 16–27% less addon work, and Wisp left 16–55% less memory to clean up.

Quest log full warning0.32.21-beta.1

When your quest log is full and the next step picks up a quest, a Quest log full card lists up to three under-level quests you could abandon, with their levels, and opens your quest log with one click.

The card never suggests a quest your guide still uses, or a completed quest you can simply turn in. The count uses the quest log limit your client reports.

Talent plans for build 704500.32.20-beta.1

Wisp’s follow talent plans match the talent trees in Forever build 1.60.1.70450 for all nine classes. Warlock takes Grim Reach, Priest takes Mental Strength earlier, and Elemental Shaman and Fire Mage follow their new ranks.

A plan you follow says it has been updated: review it and choose Follow this build again. Saved custom builds ask you to edit them before use.

Steadier flight path knowledge0.32.19-beta.1

A flight map that lists only some destinations no longer hides a known path for the rest of the session, and flight advice returns when a fresh map shows a path is reachable again.

Tools → Travel shows how many flight paths Wisp has recorded and why a planned flight is blocked. Send feedback includes flight diagnostics without character names or account details.

Batched 1–20 starter visits0.32.18-beta.1

Every 1–20 starter route combines nearby pickups and turn-ins, so you make fewer return trips. Horde routes visit Ratchet once, and Undead visit the Sepulcher once.

Wenikee Boltbucket, Nugget Slugs, Thunderhorn’s Report and Bounty on Murlocs are optional. Saves on moved steps resume at their new place, and profession stops follow the moved visits.

A later Fenris Keep visit0.32.17-beta.1

The Undead route saves the optional Fenris Keep delivery for a later Silverpine return. Solo characters at levels 12–15 should defer it; harder pulls may still need help.

Pickups and turn-ins carry the keep warnings too. Saved progress follows the reordered route; personal packs and professions are unchanged.

Clearer starter handoff choices0.32.16-beta.1

See where the next guide starts before leaving your starter. Continue remaining quests follows this guide’s steps; other unfinished quests stay in your quest log.

Resume existing progress in the next guide, with required class-quest review first. Saved choices, guide content and access checks are preserved.

Professions on alternative starter routes0.32.15-beta.1

Keep profession pairing available when you choose another starter route in your faction, including a Night Elf following the Human route.

  • Choices for your route

Profession choices, saved companions, trainer suggestions and gathering circuits follow the selected route consistently.

  • Accurate skill status

Learned skills retain their actual ranks. Finishing an introduction quest does not count as learning a profession.

  • Your progress carries forward

Selected professions, guide progress and saved choices are preserved when switching routes or reloading. Earlier quest-order and transport fixes remain included.

Real race, class, quest, skill and tool requirements still apply. Alternate routes can miss class quests and need in-game verification. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

Continue after boat travel0.32.14-beta.1

Resume onward directions after reaching your destination zone, without returning to the arrival pier.

  • Directions across guides

Shared transport and staged crossings recognise destination zones, including inland arrivals by hearthstone or portal.

  • Recover your route

Reloading, logging in or travelling to another region restores the appropriate onward or connecting directions. Smart Travel can remain off.

  • Your progress stays yours

Quest progress, manual choices and local access points carry forward. The previous quest-order improvements and personal packs are retained.

Onward directions can appear before the vessel docks. Stay aboard until docking. Current-client travel and loading behavior still need in-game verification. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

First-batch quest order0.32.13-beta.1

Hand in and pick up quests in a smoother order on the Human, Undead and Alliance Skyborne starters and on the Horde Wailing Caverns visit.

  • Fewer return trips

Undead rewards Eleanor before heading to Brill. Human takes Remy’s reward and follow-up together after Gold Dust Exchange. Alliance Skyborne picks up Crab Season during the council visit and finishes the council reports first.

  • Wailing Caverns hand-in

With Wailing Caverns selected, Horde 20–35 accepts Magatha’s follow-up before visiting Hamuul. Download personal pack 0.12.21 (Horde) or 0.12.13 (Alliance) from My library.

  • Your journey continues

Completed work, manual choices and dungeon selections carry forward. If you are past a moved step, the guide returns you to your outstanding work.

The new order is checked in local simulations; in-game verification is pending. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

Timed quest directions0.32.12-beta.1

Keep fallback directions on the current stage of Trial of the Lake and Skyborne Horde Call of Fire.

  • Bring the bauble to the shrine

Trial of the Lake points toward the shrine while you carry the bauble, instead of sending you back into the lake.

  • Finish the ritual before delivery

Call of Fire follows identified unfinished stages when the game supplies no waypoint. If the stage is unclear, follow the written directions.

  • Your journey continues

Live quest waypoints retain priority. Completed work, manual choices, deferred steps and personal packs carry forward.

Native objective identities and shrine/brazier approaches still need in-game verification. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

Quest icons and performance capture0.32.11-beta.1

Reduce repeated quest-tooltip work when nameplates appear during a quest update, and improve optional performance reports.

  • Less repeated nameplate work

Reuse fresh quest matches while checking for changed objectives. Missing quest text is retried promptly so item-drop icons can appear as it loads.

  • More useful performance reports

Optional captures include nameplate, talent and navigation work. Stopping a capture skips unsupported events so the report can be saved.

  • Your journey continues

Guide content, personal packs, quest tracking and saved progress carry forward from 0.32.10.

The reported combat hitch remains unconfirmed in game. If it continues, use /wisp perf start before the encounter, then /wisp perf stop and Send feedback. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

More quests and better pacing from 1–350.32.10-beta.1

All eight starter guides gain missing quests and clearer quest ordering, with expanded Night Elf and Tauren journeys and new Horde 20–35 quest circuits.

  • More ordinary questing

Night Elves gain a Redridge circuit; Tauren gain Durotar, Orgrimmar and Silverpine work. Horde 20–35 adds quest circuits and moves harder encounters later.

  • Pickups follow their prerequisites

Collect available rewards before follow-ups and later level checks. Justified optional quests stay optional, and follow-ups unlock from their actual prerequisite reward.

  • Your progress carries forward

Completed quests, accepted work, manual holds and deferred steps stay with your character. Find XP offers unfinished Redridge or Silverpine work for existing characters.

Written routes and gathering reminders match the addon. Update the free viewer and your separate personal pack together: Alliance 20–35 is 0.12.12; Horde 20–35 is 0.12.20. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables.

XP is modelled, not measured. Extra kills can still be needed depending on class, collection rates and completed quest history. Native offers, travel, encounter difficulty and unboosted pacing still need in-game verification.

A Difficult Path after The Mindless Ones0.32.8-beta.1

Undead Paladins collect The Mindless Ones reward before accepting A Difficult Path from Shadow Priest Sarvis, preserving shared patrol progress and independent follow-up training.

Loch Modan excavation after Darkshore0.32.7-beta.1

Alliance 1–20 routes leave Gathering Idols until the Loch Modan return, and Dwarf/Gnome routes gain more early questing.

  • Gathering Idols on the return

Dwarf/Gnome, Human and Alliance Skyborne routes finish Darkshore before Gathering Idols, so its level-17 check comes later. Optional Ironband excavation elites move to the same return.

  • More Dwarf/Gnome questing

Add Brock Stoneseeker’s flight tutorial, Bitter Rivals, Return to Marleth and Frosthowl in Dun Morogh, and Excavation Tools in Loch Modan.

  • Your progress carries forward

Completed quests, accepted work, manual holds and deferrals stay with your character. Saves on a moved step resume at the first action you have not yet reached.

Written routes match the addon. Personal Alliance and Horde 20–35 packs stay at 0.12.9. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

XP coverage is estimated, not measured. On the modelled Gnome Priest route, quest rewards alone reach about level 15.9 before Gathering Idols, so extra kills may be needed before the level-17 check. New quest offers, Frosthowl’s difficulty and the excavation return need in-game checks.

More questing through level 350.32.6-beta.1

The Alliance and Horde 20–35 packs include more ordinary questing and revised chapter order, with Hunters included.

  • More shared questing

Expand ordinary Wetlands, Stonetalon and Ashenvale work, with later Arathi, Desolace, Dustwallow and Stranglethorn circuits. Elite encounters remain optional.

  • Rebalanced Horde chapters

Complete Gloomrise and Hillsbrad before the Shimmering Flats, leave the harder Ashenvale hunt until the later return, and finish ordinary Grom’gol defence near the end of the route.

  • Your progress carries forward

Completed quests, accepted work, manual holds and deferrals stay with your character. Reviewed cursor repairs keep older saves on the intended return or finish step.

Download personal pack 0.12.9 from My library for the 20–35 changes. The free addon updates all eight starter handoffs. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

XP pacing remains a beta limitation. The reference estimates still leave about 17,100 Alliance / 57,700 Horde XP unfunded from 20–30, and 0 Alliance / 6,100 Horde XP for a separate fresh-30 start through 35. Faster drops leave larger gaps. These are estimates, not measured playthroughs; extra quests or combat may be needed, especially before Horde levels 28–29. Native offers, encounters and travel need in-game checks.

More levelling zones on your route0.32.5-beta.1

Six starter routes gain questing circuits, with travel, training stops and return journeys in the route.

  • Darkshore for more Alliance characters

Human, Dwarf/Gnome and Alliance Skyborne routes include general Darkshore levelling, including Hunters. Dwarf/Gnome also visit Elwynn, and Night Elves make a Loch Modan excursion.

  • A northern Horde circuit

Orc/Troll and Horde Skyborne routes include Tirisfal and northern Silverpine before returning to the Barrens. Tauren and Undead keep their existing zone coverage.

  • Continue with your saved progress

Completed quests and manual holds are preserved. Unheld saves at an added-zone entry move into the new circuit; later saved positions stay in place.

Written routes match the addon. Personal Alliance and Horde 20–35 packs update to 0.12.6 in My library for the new starter references. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

XP coverage is estimated, not measured. Extra XP may still be needed, particularly for Night Elf and Tauren. New visitor quest offers, travel and unboosted solo pacing require in-game verification.

Closer to your quest target0.32.4-beta.1

Wisp keeps guiding you closer before showing “In quest area”, across every guide.

  • Keep following the way

Hunting and collection objectives no longer treat the edge of a broad search circle as arrival. Guidance continues towards the quest target.

  • Consistent across displays

The Wisp arrow, in-world marker and WaypointUI use the same arrival check. Walk away and guidance resumes, with a small buffer to prevent flicker.

  • Your progress carries on

Map search areas, guide content, saved progress and navigation preferences stay as they were. Arriving still does not complete a quest.

This is a global navigation fix, including the boar hunts and axe collection in the Orc starting area. The latest quest-order improvements remain included. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

Automated checks use simulated positions. The new arrival distances still need in-game verification.

Level 20–35 quests in travelling order0.32.3-beta.1

Collect and hand in quests during the visits where you pass their givers, with saved progress carried forward.

  • Fewer return trips

Kaya, Freewind and Dorn, the Alien Egg, Splintertree pickups and Smeed’s kodo delivery follow the intended journey. Alliance characters combine the Duskwood cemetery work and finish Smeed’s reward before the next hunt.

  • Earlier stops when you reach them

Hand Collin his scales and collect the Shady Rest clues on an earlier visit when you reach that stop. Existing saves and missed visits keep the later opportunity, using the same quest actions and completion history.

  • Clearer travel connections

Alliance directions include flight connections and road alternatives, optional Ironforge flight-path learning, and the direct Auberdine–Stormwind boat in the Night Elf handoff with a fallback route.

Personal Alliance and Horde 20–35 packs update to 0.12.5 in My library and require viewer 0.30.4 or later. The free addon updates starter handoffs. Saved positions follow the reviewed migrations, and a manually held step stays put. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

Quest-log checks include carried quests, optional dungeons and both visit orders. Torek’s escort stays in its existing position to keep the optional route within 20 quests. Native offers, travel and full playthroughs remain unverified.

Pickups at the right visit0.32.2-beta.1

Collect starter quests on the intended visit, and finish your current outing before returning for a pickup that has just unlocked.

  • First-visit class pickups

Orc Warlocks pick up Tainted Parchment and Vile Familiars on their first visit. Undead Paladins start A Difficult Path at their first meeting. Other starter pickups and hand-ins move into the nearby visits where they belong.

  • Finish the outing

In the reviewed Human, Orc & Troll and Horde Skyborne outings, levelling up keeps you on your current trip until its planned return. An earlier pickup can still appear while speaking with its giver or within 250 yards. The Alliance Skyborne escort stays together across its chapter boundary.

  • Keep control of your progress

Waiting pickups survive reload without counting as accepted or completed. Manual holds, skips, browsing, tracking preferences and active detours stay available, and normal level and prerequisite checks still apply.

The eight starter guides update alongside personal Alliance and Horde 20–35 packs 0.12.4 in My library. Personal packs still require viewer 0.30.4 or later. Saved progress follows the reviewed migrations; class routes keep their versions and eight profession visit companions advance with the starter changes. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

The new pickup scheduling covers the four reviewed starter routes and their authored outings. Automated replays use simulated client observations. Native offers, distances, travel time and full route playthroughs remain unverified.

Quests in passing order0.32.1-beta.1

Starter guides now hand in and pick up quests as you pass each quest giver, instead of sending you back to one you have just walked by.

  • Through Durotar without doubling back

In the Valley of Trials, turn in Cutting Teeth before heading west, hand Wayward Weapons to Kzan Thornslash on the way to Hana’zua and hunt scorpid tails after Sarkoth. Your first Razor Hill visit hands in Report to Orgnil, Legging It and A Peon’s Burden and picks up Dark Storms and Vanquish the Betrayers.

  • Fewer walk-backs elsewhere

Dun Morogh collects the boar meat and bear furs for Stocking Jetsteam after Kharanos, on the way to the depot. Filthy Paws is handed in as you leave the mine, Beached Sea Turtle goes in with Beached Sea Creature, Hunters finish Training the Beast and The Hunter’s Way together on Hunter Rise, and Brill hands in Gordo’s Task and Doom Weed at Junior Apothecary Holland.

  • Your place moves with the step

Your saved position follows each reordered step, and a step you are holding stays where you left it.

The eight starter guides update to the new order. Personal Alliance and Horde 20–35 packs update to 0.12.3 in My library and require viewer 0.30.4 or later. The 30 class routes, 51 profession entries and the talent helper are unchanged. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

The new order follows authored quest-giver positions. Quest offers, travel time and the reordered routes have not yet been played in game.

Choose how Wisp shows the way0.32.0-beta.1

Keep the familiar arrow, follow a little light in the world, use WaypointUI or hide the navigation display while your guide keeps tracking.

  • A little light ahead

The Wisp marker shows a small beacon and distance while travelling, a destination card above its pointer nearby and a warm gold accent for turn-ins. The card and pointer sit higher together to leave more room around the destination. Arrival quiets the marker without completing a quest.

  • Room around the edges

The marker stays on an inset circle as the destination leaves view. A small arrow beside the Wisp crest points towards it, with room for the icon and labels at different marker sizes.

  • Your destination takes priority

Personal navigation pauses Wisp’s display. Choose Follow Wisp when you want to return to the guide. Cleanup and restoration preserve newer personal destinations, including those at the same coordinates.

Open Settings > Navigation > Display. Only the controls relevant to your chosen display appear below. The Wisp arrow remains the default; an unavailable display falls back to the arrow and keeps your preference. None hides navigation while guide tracking continues. Map pins and search-area shading remain independent.

This update also fixes Blizzard’s quest tracker briefly reappearing during quest objective updates in combat.

WaypointUI 1.7.3 is optional and installed separately. Wisp uses its public API without modifying it. Wisp’s own world marker currently needs WaypointUI disabled in the AddOns list; with it loaded, choose WaypointUI or Wisp arrow.

See the navigation display choices; the distant beacon and screen-edge screenshots use staged positions and distances, while the Kaltunk card was captured during live navigation.

The eight starter guides, 30 class routes, 51 profession entries and personal 20–35 packs keep their content and versions. Your progress and settings carry over. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

The Sleeping Bag chain and more 30–35 quests0.31.1-beta.1

Personal 20–35 guides can now take you through the optional Sleeping Bag note chain, and the 30–35 chapters add more quests.

  • An optional note chain

Find the Westfall note, then follow Stepping Stones, Scramble, Wet Job, Eagle’s Fist and This Must Be The Place. Alliance characters take an optional detour from the Stormwind return. Horde characters find the note after Bael Modan and deliver it on an optional Westfall detour after the Stranglethorn hunts.

  • More quests from 30 to 35

Alliance adds Malin’s Request at the Mage Quarter visit. Horde adds both Parts of the Swarm quests, Hunting in Stranglethorn, Highway Robbery, On the Lam and Cherry for Your Thoughts?, and offers The Defense of Grom’gol again at the final level check if you skipped it earlier.

  • Your route stays the same

Every stage of the note chain is optional. The default route is unchanged, and the chain starts in 20–30 and finishes in the 30–35 chapters.

Personal Alliance and Horde 20–35 packs update to 0.12.2 in My library and require viewer 0.30.4 or later. The eight starter guides update to match. The 30 free class routes, 51 profession entries and the talent helper are unchanged. Your progress carries over. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

Wowhead Forever pages support the note chain and the Forever-native quests. The beta is capped at level 30, so the 30–35 chapters, their XP and travel times have not been tested in game.

Your talents, with a plan0.31.0-beta.1

Choose a build before your first point, follow your next talent while questing, or make a plan of your own.

  • A path for every class

The Talents tab includes 28 builds across all nine classes and every specialisation, with separate Cat and Bear paths for Druids. Compare the full trees and spending order, then save your choice before talents unlock.

  • Make your own build

Start empty, copy a recommendation or use your learned ranks. Choose talents across all three trees, name the build and arrange its spending order. Save a partial plan or a complete target for this character.

  • Your next point beside your guide

A compact card shows the next talent, its icon and rank change. On a supported setup, each explicit Add point click requests one rank and waits for the game’s confirmation. Another point needs another click. Open talents provides a fallback when the card cannot add a point.

Joining midway? Compare matching, extra and remaining ranks before following a build. Already learned ranks are skipped; Keep my choices continues around existing talents where possible. Extra ranks may leave too few points to finish the original target. Wisp never refunds talents or spends a point automatically.

Open Guide > Talents or type /wisp talents. See the talent helper in action. The eight starter guides, 30 free class routes, 51 profession entries and personal 20–35 packs keep the content and versions included with addon 0.30.4. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

Recommended builds are untested theorycraft. Live guidance requires a matching English Forever talent tree, using reference build 1.60.1.70338 reviewed on 13 October. The announcement screenshots show native WoW frames with simulated talent data; native point purchases, physical-controller use and gameplay/build-quality acceptance still need verification.

Better routes through levels 1–200.30.4-beta.1

All eight starter guides get revised quest order, earlier class stops and more optional quests and flight-master visits.

  • Quest stops in order

Pickups and turn-ins follow the revised Ban’ethil relic circuit, Patience reports, Barrens Oasis quests and Stonetalon rewards. The changes cover 13 confirmed issues and 12 optional improvements from the guide review.

  • Class work at nearby visits

Eligible Hunters and Warlocks can start class work during earlier visits. Characters below the required level keep their later stop. Human Mage reminders and Skyborne class referrals now line up with their trainer visits.

  • Optional quests along the way

New options include quests that start from items you already carry, Letter to Jin’Zil and an eligible Undead Rogue pickup for The Book of Ur. Flight-master stops follow the route, and the Orgrimmar flight opportunity remains available when class work moves earlier.

The 30 free class routes and 51 profession entries remain included. Four Horde Herbalism companions follow the revised Oasis itinerary. Personal Alliance and Horde 20–35 packs update to 0.12.1 in My library and require viewer 0.30.4 or later.

Your completed quests, learned flight paths, manual holds and settings carry over. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. External references and automated tests support these changes; quest offers, terrain, flight services, dungeon feasibility and sufficient XP still need in-game verification.

Update notices0.30.3-beta.1

Wisp now tells you when players in your guild or group are running a newer version.

  • Told once a session

When two players in your guild or group run a newer ForeverWisp, Wisp prints one chat line and shows a popup with the download link. The popup waits until you leave combat.

  • Only your version is shared

Wisp shares its version number with guild and group members who use ForeverWisp, and nothing else. Turn it off with Check for addon updates in the Party settings.

  • Your current version keeps working

Nothing updates on its own. The first notices appear once a later version is out, because older versions do not announce themselves.

Guide content, guide versions, the 51 profession entries and 30 class routes are unchanged. Your progress, skips and settings carry over.

Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. Version messages between players have not been checked in game.

Up Next titles read once0.30.2-beta.1

Up Next no longer adds a second verb to steps whose titles already say what to do.

  • Collect the Book of Ur

On the Horde Shadowfang Keep trip, the Book of Ur objective reads “Collect the Book of Ur” in Up Next, not “Complete Collect the Book of Ur”.

  • Human deliveries

“Deliver: Note to William” and “Deliver: Report to Thomas” show as written, without “Complete” in front.

  • Quest names keep their verb

Steps named after their quest still read Accept, Complete or Turn in, such as “Turn in Note to William” or “Complete Taming the Beast”.

Only the viewer changes. Guide content, guide versions, the 51 profession entries and 30 class routes are unchanged. Your progress, skips and settings carry over.

Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. Up Next with this change has not been checked in game.

The Rogue SI:7 errand0.30.1-beta.1

Human Rogues now get a level-10 class stop, like every other Human class.

  • Report to SI:7

On the Goldshire visit, the Human guide picks up Seek out SI: 7 from Keryn Sylvius. During the next Stormwind visit it hands that in to Master Mathias Shaw, then takes Snatch and Grab to Jerod’s Landing for the Defias Dockmaster’s schedule and back to Shaw, before the route leaves for Westbrook.

  • Pick up where you are

A Rogue who already turned in Seek out SI: 7 keeps their place, with Snatch and Grab still to finish. A Rogue past Goldshire without it is sent back to Keryn, as the other level-10 class stops do. Catch-up never sets these steps aside.

  • Personal packs keep working

Personal Alliance 20–35 packs downloaded before this update keep their Stockade prerequisite working with the updated Human guide.

The Human guide advances to 0.19.22; other classes see no change. The other seven starter guides and the personal 0.12.0 packs keep their versions. The 51 profession entries and 30 class routes are unchanged. Your progress, skips and settings carry over.

Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. Keryn Sylvius and the Defias Dockmaster use reference positions, and whether the schedule drops when the Dockmaster is defeated or only through Pick Pocket has not been checked in game.

Personal guides to level 350.30.0-beta.1

Personal Alliance and Horde guides now continue past 30 with an outdoor journey to 35. Existing owners update from My guides without another purchase.

  • Keep levelling to 35

Version 0.12.0 of each personal pack continues through Thousand Needles, Desolace, Dustwallow Marsh, Hillsbrad and Alterac, Arathi, Stranglethorn Vale and the Swamp of Sorrows. The level-30 checkpoint stays. Before Dustwallow Marsh, a level-33 recommendation offers Horde XP options without blocking the route.

  • More 20–30 quests

Alliance adds an optional Stormwind investigation after the Stockade, with boats offered where steps cross the sea. Horde adds Wailing Caverns preparation and an optional trip that skips quests you already finished in your starter guide. A level-32 recommendation before Desolace offers XP options without blocking the route.

  • Clearer guidance

An older personal pack names the newer guide in chat and where to download it. Hearth suggestions stop once you are already in the hearthstone’s area. A prerequisite from a starter guide you have not installed asks you to install a compatible prerequisite chapter, and your route is kept. Waypoint arrows point at spawns in the area a step describes, and travel text leaves flight advice to the travel card.

Every starter guide updates its 20–30 handoff, and the four Horde starter guides add optional Trouble at the Docks to their Wailing Caverns preparation. Personal 20–35 packs need this beta. The 51 profession entries and 30 class routes are unchanged. Your progress, skips and settings carry over.

Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. The 30–35 journey adds no new class, profession or dungeon branches, and XP may fall short of 35 without the optional XP sessions. Quest offers, coordinates, travel and full playthroughs remain under review in game.

Smoother level-ups0.29.3-beta.1

Wisp does less work when you level up, especially with skipped quests or the guide library open.

  • Lighter level-up checks

Skipped quests are matched against one prerequisite index instead of rescanning the guide for each skip. A quest reward’s follow-up updates share one check.

  • No rebuild for the level-up strip

Showing or dismissing the level-up strip moves the guide and its buttons in place. Controller and start panels still resize to fit the screen.

  • One library refresh

With the guide library open, level-up updates are batched into one refresh. Guides unlocked by your new level appear once the game reports it, or after at most one second.

Guide content, guide versions, the 51 profession entries and 30 class routes are unchanged. Your progress, skips and settings carry over.

Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. The gains come from simulated benchmarks and a brief in-game check, not frame-rate measurements; the reported level-up freeze has not been reproduced.

A clearer Book of Ur return0.29.2-beta.1

Horde 20–30 now explains when to keep the Book of Ur and returns it after Scout Support in Hillsbrad.

  • Know when to keep the book

The Shadowfang Keep step now reads “Collect the Book of Ur” and says to keep it for Keeper Bel’dugur in the Apothecarium, Undercity. It names the Tarren Mill chapter where the guide takes you back.

  • Finish Scout Support first

The Undercity hand-in now follows optional Scout Support in Hillsbrad, so you finish that courier before travelling to Undercity. The hand-in reminds you to choose your reward.

  • Keep your progress

If you were waiting at the Undercity hand-in, Wisp resumes at the last shared Hillsbrad visit so Scout Support is not skipped. Completed steps stay completed.

Personal Horde 20–30 packs update to 0.11.16 in My guides. The four Horde starter guides update only their 20–30 handoff; their quest steps are unchanged. Alliance guides, the 51 profession entries and 30 class routes are unchanged.

Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. Keeper Bel’dugur’s position, the quest’s offer conditions and travel after Scout Support remain under review in game.

Flight paths along your route0.29.1-beta.1

Learn flight paths as you pass through towns, and fly when it saves time on the step you are following.

  • Learn flight paths on the way

Optional steps at 61 town visits across the eight starter guides and both 20–30 packs. Paths you already know complete once the game confirms them; Done and Skip never record a learned path.

  • Fly when it saves time

Wisp suggests a flight for your current step using 26 flight masters and 80 connections. Until you open a flight map, it adds “if you have the path”. The ground route stays available, and the travel card says why Wisp chose it.

  • Keep your flight paths

Learned paths are saved for each character through guide and client updates. At a guide flight stop, Wisp opens the flight map so the game can confirm the path. Turn this off in Settings > Navigation > Transport, or hold Shift.

Every starter guide updates with your progress preserved; quest steps and their order are unchanged. The Legend of Stalvan, Thor’s delivery at Sentinel Hill and the Skyborne Horde journey between Thunder Bluff, Orgrimmar and the Crossroads now describe the road first. Personal 20–30 packs update to 0.11.15 and need this beta. The 51 profession entries and 30 class routes remain included.

Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. Flight-master positions, flight times and fares are estimates; in-game discovery, server access and rides at every flight master remain under review.

Level-20 training and free class quests0.29.0-beta.1

Review your training, follow your class quests and return to your levelling route with your place saved.

  • Find level-20 training

Review training for all nine classes, with 43 selected trainer destinations. Dwarf shamans visit Eldrun Stormbreaker in Ironforge’s Forlorn Cavern. Training purchases and longer trips remain your choice.

  • Follow your class quests for free

Choose from 30 free class routes, including earlier lockpicking preparation. Complete essential unlock instructions are also available on the website, without a paid guide or account.

  • Resume without losing your place

Use your available quest history to resume unfinished chains and avoid repeating rewarded quests. Save a detour for later or return to your levelling step. Dwarf shamans can optionally fit the Water Totem trip into later Alliance paid-route travel; completing it promptly at 20 remains recommended.

Horde Skyborne rogue Poisons and lockpicking remain guidance-only while their complete routes are unverified. Dwarf & Gnome guide 0.16.17 corrects trainer and Water Sapta instructions. The eight starter guides and 51 profession entries remain included, alongside the new class routes; personal 20–30 packs remain separate in My guides.

Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. In-game quest offers, trainer positions and full class playthroughs remain under review. No XP total or completion time is promised.

A quieter guide panel and a corrected Night Elf journey0.28.31-beta.1

Keep the arrow visible while hiding the step panel, with cleaner Tools and updated Night Elf quest guidance.

  • Hide the step panel, keep your guidance

Turn on Hide step panel in Settings > Appearance. The arrow, distance and automatic progress continue. Your choice is saved; turn it off or use /wisp show to restore the panel.

  • Keep Tools tidy

Tools content stays inside its frame during live updates. Dungeon trip controls and summaries now live in Dungeons, with updated recovery directions.

  • Follow the corrected Night Elf route

The Goddess Provides follows the opening hunt reward. Related starter prerequisites are corrected, and the rogue mill trip moves after Kalimdor with level-20 advice, clearer approach instructions and preserved poison progression.

Night Elf guide 0.14.15 preserves quest progress and manual choices. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. The eight starter guides and 51 profession entries remain included; personal 20–30 packs stay separate in My guides. Native quest offers, mill safety and full playthroughs remain under review.

Optional dungeon quests, with your progress preserved0.28.30-beta.1

Add a dungeon trip and follow its missing preparation, even when you started Wisp at a higher level.

  • Pick up the missing preparation

Adding a trip restores eligible prerequisites that catch-up skipped. Completed quests and your manual skips stay intact.

  • Follow more optional dungeon chains

Alliance Deadmines guides include the Defias and VanCleef chain. Horde Wailing Caverns guides include Leaders of the Fang, and Alliance Hall of Thanes guides include Old Ironforge Incursion.

  • Keep your choices after updating

Trips saved for Later remain deferred when new quests are added. A later quest already in your log prevents unnecessary prerequisite replay. Exterior Smart Drinks drops no longer count as entering Wailing Caverns.

Dungeon trips remain optional. Open Guide > Dungeons to preview or add one. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. The eight starter guides and 51 profession entries remain included; personal 20–30 packs stay separate in My guides. Native offers, item drops and full dungeon playthroughs remain under review.

A clearer guide browser, with dungeon planning0.28.29-beta.1

Browse chapters and optional dungeon trips while keeping your place in the leveling route.

  • Find your place in Chapters

Navigate chapters, read step details and return to your active step in a redesigned panel with consistent fonts, spacing and selection borders.

  • Plan optional dungeon trips

The new Dungeons tab shows quests, prerequisites and route stops for your selected guide. Wisp offers each trip at a suitable point along the route, or earlier when you encounter a quest pickup.

  • Keep leveling at your own pace

Preview without changing your route. Direct controls let you add, save, resume or remove a trip when relevant. Restoring a trip keeps completed progress, explicit skips and other trips intact.

Open Guide > Dungeons or type /wisp dungeons. The same eight starter routes and 51 profession entries are included; personal 20–30 packs remain separate downloads from My guides. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. Full dungeon playthroughs and physical-controller acceptance remain under review.

A simpler start to every guide0.28.28-beta.1

Choose your options and professions before you begin, then get straight to your route.

  • Choose professions before starting

Add up to two optional professions from either start-guide screen. Your choices stay in sync between the suggested-guide panel and Library preview.

  • Keep your quick options together

Auto-accept, auto-turn-in and the Blizzard quest tracker toggle stay beside your profession choices. Start opens your route without another profession popup.

  • Shorter, clearer previews

Every guide shows a brief summary and relevant start requirements. Development and testing notes no longer fill the preview, including for professions and downloaded guides.

Your settings, saved progress and paused professions carry forward. You can change professions later from Guide > Professions. Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating.

More quests for both 20–30 journeys0.28.27-beta.1

Find 14 additional optional quests with reviewed pickups, prerequisites, objectives and recovery instructions.

  • Nine more Alliance quests

Follow Ira’s Dagger, Merrick’s Bow, Crocs of the Sky, both Bloom of the Heavens errands, Crimson Crate Delivery, Razormaw Needling, Carnage and Forced Disarmament.

  • Five more Horde quests

Add The Offering Stone, The Tortured Soul, The Offering of Blood, Scout Support and Never Coming Back. Directions explain the note drop, quest tool, elite encounter and local objectives.

  • Keep your progress and choose the extras

The new quests stay optional. Existing quest order, saved steps and choices carry forward. Updated installation instructions show which inner addon folders to copy.

Keep your WTF folder and SavedVariables when updating. Personal Alliance and Horde 20–30 packs update to 0.11.13. Download your updated pack from My guides as well as updating Wisp. Source review and automated checks do not establish native offers, full playthroughs or XP pacing. Valuable Vantages and A Void Path remain deferred while route details are unresolved.

Clearer level 20–30 journeys0.28.26-beta.1

11 October correction: quest 97538 is Pigments for Paints. This entry originally called it Pigments of the Past; the release date and version are unchanged.

Follow corrected quest pickups, report deliveries and dungeon preparation in both faction guides.

  • Visit quest givers in the right order

Alliance reports pass through Darkshire before Northshire and Stormwind. Horde Warsong reports are collected locally before the Ratchet and Zoram loop. Moved steps preserve your saved progress.

  • Pick up optional quests along the way

An Old History Book and the Southshore delivery join the Alliance route when the book drops. Gerenzo’s Orders and its follow-up use existing travel stops. Blackfathom guidance explains when to reward the note to unlock Lorgus before entering.

  • Check the right requirements

Reviewed quest counters and entry levels are corrected. Pigments for Paints tracks 30 Mirkweed Pods with an approximate search marker. Deferral advice makes unavailable quests easier to handle.

Keep your SavedVariables when updating. Personal Alliance and Horde 20–30 packs update to 0.11.11. Download your updated pack from My guides as well as the addon. Source review and automated checks do not establish current native offers, exact search markers, full class coverage or XP pacing.

Choose another starting area0.28.25-beta.1

Browse other starting routes in your faction, with a clear warning before you choose one.

  • Find other starts

Open Library → Other starts, read the warning and allow the route. Then review the starting point before starting. Your usual route remains the recommendation.

  • Know what may be missing

Alternative routes are not recommended. You are likely to miss class quests, including pet unlocks. Some quests and profession stops may be unavailable. You will need to reach the area yourself.

  • Keep each guide’s progress

Switching an existing character preserves each guide’s saved progress. Return from an active detour and turn off Quest together first. Choosing a guide on a new character does not move them or change their starting location.

Keep your SavedVariables when updating. Faction, class and entry requirements still apply. Automated selection and saved-progress checks cover these changes. Alternative race and zone combinations, quest offers, travel and class unlocks still need in-game validation.

More complete quests and class journeys0.28.24-beta.1

Follow the reviewed quest chains with corrected prerequisites, better fieldwork ordering and more optional quests along your route.

  • Restore missing class work

Alliance Skyborne gains the restored Aquatic Form chain, its island Warrior stance lesson and an optional Mage wand outing. Undead Paladins follow the corrected Redemption chain. Reviewed class trips use the direct Stormwind–Auberdine boat.

  • Finish quests in the right order

Complete Manhunt fieldwork before the Human Warlock return from Surena, and cleanse the Tauren well before returning to the village. Starter and 20–30 routes include corrected requirements and additional regional quests.

  • Choose the extra stops

Silver of the Waves joins the Human, Dwarf/Gnome and Alliance Skyborne Loch visits as an optional toolbox dive. At the level goal, Wisp reminds you about unfinished required class quests while keeping your continuation choice available.

Keep your SavedVariables when updating. Personal Alliance and Horde 20–30 packs update to 0.11.10 and require Wisp 0.28.24. Automated quest, ordering and saved-progress checks cover these changes; full in-game playthroughs and some offer requirements remain unverified.

October 8 patch route updates0.28.23-beta.1

Warn about Stitches near Darkshire, explain the reusable Horn of Echeyakee, and leave Stanley after claiming Elixir of Pain. Dungeon trips explain the updated kill XP and personal-level penalties while retaining required follow-ups and saved progress.

More preparation before harder quests0.28.22-beta.1

Collect easier quest rewards before tougher encounters, with clearer level advice and local XP options when you need them.

  • A better-paced Loch Modan

Dwarf, Gnome, Human and Alliance Skyborne routes finish the shoreline supplies before the excavation. Readiness checks offer nearby options before stronger troggs, without adding a required Elwynn detour.

  • Rewards before tougher fights

Human farm rewards come before Harvest Watchers. Horde routes collect easier rewards before named encounters and leave Stolen Silver for the later raptor outing. Night Elf and Undead routes have clearer cautions and corrected recovery targets.

  • Keep your place when finding XP

Recovery retains readiness checks and returns to your saved route. Level advice remains a choice; your quests, class branches, profession stops and saved progress carry forward.

Keep your SavedVariables when updating. Updated personal 20–30 packs require Wisp 0.28.22. Automated prerequisite, ordering and progress checks passed; actual XP, combat difficulty and full in-game playthroughs remain under review.

More room for level-up sharing0.28.21-beta.1

Give your level-up celebration room to breathe between the guide header and your next objectives.

  • Clear separation above and below

Extra space separates the sharing panel from the progress bar and the Objectives row.

  • Consistent alignment

The level title and sharing buttons line up with the guide content, with matching padding at both edges.

  • Return smoothly to your guide

Step previews and gathering views use the same spacing. The guide returns to its original layout when the celebration closes.

Retains the quest material guidance, profession affordability and Log Out fixes. Keep your SavedVariables and reload the UI after updating. Automated layout and player-journey checks passed; in-game visual verification remains pending.

Clear guidance for quest materials0.28.20-beta.1

Know when to collect quest items in the field and when to buy or trade for the remaining supplies.

  • Keep Gathering the Cure on course

When only Earthroot remains, Wisp explains how to obtain it through trade or existing Herbalism. It no longer follows an unrelated native quest marker into Ashenvale. Lunar Fungus fieldwork stays in Darkshore.

  • Track the right supplies

The Great Tree Provides now tracks 6 Dewy Lasher Fronds, 1 Empty Vial and 1 Refreshing Spring Water. Collect the fronds, then buy or trade for missing supplies in Dolanaar.

  • Finish materials without misleading markers

The Tauren cure quest, linen donations and Chill of Death use the same material guidance. Counters keep tracking your progress while purchased or traded items no longer create fieldwork arrows or pins.

Keep your SavedVariables when updating. Updated quest packs require addon 0.28.20. Automated navigation, item mapping and saved-progress checks cover these changes; current native quest behavior and full route playthroughs remain unverified.

Train when you can afford it0.28.19-beta.1

Optional gathering visits now check your money and tools before sending you to a trainer or supplier.

  • Quest first in Northshire

If you cannot afford Skinning, continue with the wolves and kobold vermin. Wisp checks again for Riley after you collect both quest rewards. Already have enough money? The early visit stays available.

  • Allow for the tool as well

Starting Skinning or Mining budgets 20 copper for training and a knife or pick, or 10 copper if the tool is already in your bags. Herbalism budgets 10 copper and needs no tool.

  • Keep questing and keep your progress

Known training and tool costs are checked across all 24 gathering companions. Unaffordable visits wait for a later supported opportunity; your saved progress, manual holds and skip choices stay intact.

Retains the Log Out correction and one-click level-up sharing. Keep your SavedVariables when updating. Automated money, route and saved-progress checks passed; current in-game prices, stock and these training journeys still need verification.

Log out without a blocked-action warning0.28.18-beta.1

Fix the error that could stop Log Out from working while ForeverWisp was enabled.

  • Leave the game normally

The Game Menu Log Out action works again after updating and reloading the UI.

  • Open Wisp from your guide

The Game Menu shortcut has been removed. Use Guide → Library, the minimap button, /wisp library, or the optional ForeverWisp key bindings.

  • Keep your place

Your gathering guides, saved progress, preferences and one-click level-up sharing stay intact.

Keep your SavedVariables and reload the UI after updating. The reported Log Out failure and correction were verified with mouse input on Forever build 70291. Physical controller testing and full route acceptance remain pending.

Share your next level in one click0.28.17-beta.1

Celebrate right beneath the guide header, with your sharing choices ready when you level up.

  • Choose where to share

Send to Nearby, Party or Guild in one click. Shared destinations are clearly marked, and unavailable choices stay disabled. Nothing is posted automatically.

  • Time to choose, then back to questing

The strip closes after eight seconds and pauses while you hover over it or focus its controls with a controller. Reopen it from Tools → Session → Share last level.

  • Keep your guide in place

Your current steps and click targets move together beneath the celebration. Compact views, step previews and farming sessions keep their place, and saved progress stays intact.

Keep your SavedVariables when updating. Automated sharing, layout, combat and progress checks passed; native rendering, taint and physical controller checks remain pending.

A Game Menu that fits together0.28.16-beta.1

Open Wisp from the Game Menu without its button covering AddOns when EllesmereUI is installed.

  • Separate, clickable buttons

Wisp stays in its own row when EllesmereUI adds its menu entry or optional Unlock Mode button.

  • Stay aligned as you play

The menu rebuilds Wisp alongside its other buttons each time you open it, including after UI scale changes.

  • Keep your progress

Your guides, saved progress and preferences remain intact, with the latest combat-item controls and quest pickup fixes included.

Keep your SavedVariables when updating. Automated menu checks passed; native EllesmereUI rendering, taint and physical controller checks remain pending.

Item buttons that stay ready in combat0.28.15-beta.1

Use your Hearthstone and displayed quest items without the addon blocking your click when combat starts.

  • Keep your item controls

Hearthstone and quest-item buttons prepared before combat stay clickable with the mouse. Normal item cooldowns and restrictions still apply.

  • See what you can click

Quest items keep their larger icons, outlined buttons and Click to use hints, with feedback when you hover or press.

  • Keep clicks in place

The guide holds its displayed steps and position during combat. Quest counters and the Hearthstone cooldown still update; layout, movement and visibility changes apply after combat.

Retains the latest quest pickup corrections, Camping lessons and guide-start preferences. Keep your SavedVariables when updating.

Automated item and saved-progress checks passed. In-game combat casts and physical controller testing remain unverified; controller navigation returns to gameplay during combat.

Pick up quests as you pass0.28.14-beta.1

Fewer return trips to quest givers, starting with Shadowglen and Dolanaar.

  • Finish each visit

Nearby pickups and follow-ups now stay together across the starter guides, including class quests and both Skyborne routes.

  • A smoother Night Elf journey

Collect quests on the way through Aldrassil and Dolanaar. Druids combine their water sample with the Cliffspring cave visit and continue eligible local follow-ups before a later level gate.

  • Continue where you left off

Your quest progress, manual choices and profession stops remain intact. Personal Alliance and Horde continuation packs also include the reviewed pickup corrections.

Retains Camping lessons, quest spell controls and the guide-start preferences update. Keep your SavedVariables when updating.

Automated route and saved-progress checks passed. Full in-game route and class playthroughs remain under review.

Play your way from the start0.28.13-beta.1

Set your questing preferences before you start, right beside your guide.

  • Quick choices on both panels

Choose auto accept, auto turn-in and whether to hide the Blizzard quest tracker from the small suggested-guide panel or the full guide preview.

  • Make room for the story

All three options start on for new settings. Turn quest automation off to read at your own pace, or hold Shift to pause it. Existing choices are preserved across guides and characters; reward choices remain manual.

  • A quieter start

The guide browser stays closed on login and reload. Your suggested-guide panel starts vertically centered, and its Settings button opens questing preferences with a way back to your guide.

Includes the previous Camping lessons update and all eight free starter guides. Keep your SavedVariables when updating.

Automated checks and a focused in-game startup check passed. Full route and class playthroughs remain under review.

Camping lessons for every starter0.28.12-beta.1

Pick up Cooking, Herbalism and Mining lessons as part of your starting journey.

  • All eight starter routes

Camping 101 lessons now follow the camping introduction in every starting guide, including both Skyborne routes.

  • Lessons for your professions

Cooking is an optional introduction for everyone. Herbalism and Mining appear when you have learned the profession, and accepted lessons stay visible.

  • Keep questing

Unfinished gathering lessons wait for a nearby trainer visit when ready. Learning a profession later will not send you back to the starting camp. Your saved progress stays intact.

Retains the latest quest spell controls, profession tips and resource tracking. Keep your SavedVariables when updating.

Automated route, profession and upgrade checks passed. Current quest offers, trainer positions and full route playthroughs still need in-game verification.

Earlier lessons and clickable quest spells0.28.11-beta.1

Get key lessons earlier and use their required spells directly from the guide.

  • Lessons at the right visit

The Goddess Provides appears during the opening Shadowglen visit. The Human flight introduction starts at the first Sentinel Hill visit, with deliveries following existing journeys.

  • Click to cast

Use known quest spells from the widget, including Elune’s Light, Shadowmeld, healing lessons, Skyborne racials, Pick Pocket and supported Moonglade teleports. Quest-item controls are also clearer and easier to click.

  • Clearer objectives, progress kept

Healing, curing, waking and conversation credit is no longer labelled as a kill. Existing quest progress, profession stops and manual choices remain intact.

Keep your SavedVariables when updating. This update retains the eight free starter routes, 51 profession entries and current personal pack versions.

Automated route, spell-control and upgrade checks passed. Actual spell clicks, quest offers and full route playthroughs still need in-game verification.

Profession tips and resource tracking0.28.10-beta.1

Optional profession tips have their own bordered card. Turn on Find Herbs or Find Minerals from the guide and see when tracking is active. Each profession keeps its own tracking control and dismissal.

Herbalism activation and the card layout were checked in the beta client. Wider profession and route playtesting remains pending.

Clearer profession choices0.28.9-beta.1

Choose how to use a profession and take the next step directly from its guide screen.

  • Add a profession alongside levelling

Add it to your selected route, manage an existing companion, or choose or return to a compatible levelling guide first.

  • Start a guide or farm materials

Start or continue a standalone profession guide, or open Farm materials from the same screen. Your saved guide progress is kept.

  • Better alignment

Button labels sit in the centre, and material buttons and route cards line up with the rest of the browser.

Keep your SavedVariables when updating. This update retains the gathering-route improvements, eight free starter routes, 51 profession entries and current personal pack versions.

The profession screens and alignment were checked in the beta client. Full route playthroughs and physical controller testing remain pending.

Gathering routes you can see0.28.8-beta.1

Broader Skinning routes and clear highlights for small farming patches make gathering previews easier to follow.

  • More ground to cover

Expand 18 Skinning routes using reviewed creature references. Western Teldrassil now has eight points instead of two.

  • Visible local farming areas

Compact patches get a shaded highlight. Click a gathering marker, then move the pointer away to keep its preview visible.

  • Keep your earned progress

Upgrades preserve gathered materials, active time, pause state and your saved quest return. Changed routes restart their waypoint and lap counters.

The free 1–150 routes are included. For the updated 150–300 routes, download Mining 0.1.3 or Skinning 0.1.1 from My library after installing this viewer. Keep your SavedVariables.

The Western Teldrassil preview was checked in game. Lines show visit order and shaded areas help locate the references; they do not establish a terrain-safe path or exact spawn boundary. Wider terrain and skill gains remain under review.

Retains the compact guide UI and experimental controller controls from 0.28.7.

Release manifest and checksum

Experimental controller controls0.28.7-beta.1

Open ForeverWisp from the Game Menu, choose a guide and use its controls with native controller navigation.

  • Start from the Game Menu

A native-styled ForeverWisp button opens setup or guide controls. With native controller UI off, clicking it opens the Library.

  • Choose, follow and resume

D-pad focus, confirm/back and shoulder scrolling cover setup, guide selection, settings and routine guide actions while preserving progress.

  • A controls manual

Read the button reference and setup guide, including returning to gameplay and the remaining mouse/text actions.

Physical controller testing is still pending. These controls are experimental. Native menu navigation, protected quest-item actions and combat input handover are not yet verified on hardware. ConsolePort support is partial and separately unverified.

Keep your SavedVariables when updating. The compact guide UI, all eight free starter routes, 51 profession entries and current personal pack versions are retained.

A clearer, more compact guide frame0.28.6-beta.1

Less clutter while questing, step previews in the small frame and steadier window resizing.

  • Easier to scan

Refined spacing, font sizes and icon alignment. Profession rewards explain what to choose and use, with profession badges always visible.

  • Preview without losing your place

The step arrows preview nearby steps in the small frame. Back to current step restores the live view while quest tracking continues.

  • Windows stay where you put them

Browser width changes stay centred horizontally. Height changes grow downwards from the same top edge.

Send feedback now sits directly in the footer. Shared level-up messages use one icon and the ForeverWisp Guides name, with the levels gained and time taken.

Keep your SavedVariables when updating. The existing route corrections and personal pack versions are retained. Automated checks cover navigation and saved settings; broad in-game verification remains limited.

Quest order and levelling guide corrections0.28.5-beta.1

Updated prerequisites, missing class quests and directions across the starter and 20–30 guides.

  • Corrected quest sequences

Restore the Night Elf Oracle sequence, Alliance Skyborne Cure Poison and Dwarf Shaman Call of Air, with updated Skyborne quest ordering.

  • Clearer objectives and directions

Correct Catching Wind and the Raven Hill Tome location. Supplied quest items no longer point to an unnecessary farming area.

  • Recover unfinished steps

Use accepted and rewarded quests to recover past optional referrals. Preserve saved progress and tracking choices through guide updates.

Update the free addon and keep your SavedVariables. Alliance and Horde 20–30 owners should then download their updated version 0.11.5 personal pack from My library.

Public quest sources and automated player journeys support these corrections. Full in-game route and class playthroughs, current quest offers and XP pacing remain unverified.

Less work during movement and quest updates0.28.4-beta.1

Reuse route work within each update, share quest information within each refresh and reduce repeated progress processing, including with profession guides selected.

The owner tested the matching runtime over a couple of quests and reported that it felt fine. Guide content and personal pack versions were unchanged; broader combat, travel and level-up testing remain outstanding.

Lighter browsing, travel and quest updates0.28.3-beta.1

Stop rebuilding the Library while closed, combine visible quest-update bursts, retain travel plans through unrelated cooldown changes and share quest-log reads within quest-mob refreshes.

A short owner test on build 70235 felt smoother with no noticeable lag. Guide content, personal pack versions and saved progress were preserved.

Less repeated work while questing0.28.2-beta.1

Reduce repeated route and progress work with profession companions, share quest and skill reads within live updates, skip farming route checks when there are no farming steps, and refresh each quest nameplate once per pass.

Simulated quest and bag update CPU work fell by about 48% without profession companions and 56% with two companions compared with 0.28.1-beta.1. These were workload measurements, not measured FPS gains. Guide content and personal pack versions were unchanged.

Optional dungeons along your route0.28.1-beta.1

Collect dungeon quests while levelling, then choose when you’re ready to run with a group.

  • One levelling guide

Supported dungeon trips appear within your existing route. Add a trip, leave it for later or decline and continue questing.

  • Collect now, go later

Early quest offers explain what to collect. At departure, choose Go now when your group is ready; exterior preparation comes before entering.

  • Keep your progress

Resume levelling after the trip. Saved progress, the latest NPC directions and free gathering guides through skill 150 are retained.

Update the free addon. Alliance and Horde 20–30 owners should also download their updated version 0.11.4 faction pack from My library. Private testers should remove the old ForeverWisp_DungeonTest companion.

Automated player journeys and simulated client states were checked. Full native dungeon runs, server quest offers, group feasibility and XP pacing remain unverified. Some dungeons remain deferred or unresolved.

Clearer boat and zeppelin journeys0.27.3-beta.1

Shared departure, boarding and onward directions across starter, continuation, class and profession travel. Written readers offer directions from a selected starting region. Travel stages preserve quest progress and tracking preferences.

All eight starters and free gathering guides remain bundled. Alliance and Horde personal packs updated to 0.10.5. Dock and tower markers remain approximate references; native boarding and docking remain unverified.

Clearer NPC and cave directions0.27.2-beta.2

Clearer stairs, ramps, floors and entrances across all eight starter routes and both 20–30 routes. For Mardant Strongoak, take Aldrassil’s western ramp to the room at the first landing, below the summit.

Alliance and Horde personal packs updated to 0.10.4. Quest order and saved progress were preserved. Full native Forever playthroughs, some access details and XP pacing remain under review.

Gathering guides through skill 3000.27.2-beta.1

Mining, Herbalism and Skinning now have free 1–150 guides bundled with all eight starter routes, plus separate paid 150–300 continuations. Open Library → Professions and choose the guide matching your character and current skill.

These routes have been reviewed against online sources. Some late-game skill gains, spawn locations and connecting terrain remain provisional. Skill 300 is a profession target, not a character level. Later circuits enter hostile high-level areas; the guide does not make them suitable for a low-level character.

More quests through levels 20–300.27.1-beta.2

Alliance and Horde personal packs updated to 0.10.3 with missing quests, prerequisite repairs and improved reward timing. The free addon includes matching starter handoffs and preserves saved progress. XP pacing remains under review.

Continue beyond level 200.27.1-beta.1

The free beta now supports the separate paid Alliance and Horde 20–30 guide packs. Pre-ordering a faction’s 20–60 guide includes its 20–30 in-game beta band now, online reading and later bands when released. The launch collection includes both faction guides now and its other 24 guides when released.

  • Continue at level 20: the starter offers your faction’s continuation. Install the personal pack from My guides, connect the same Battle.net account and keep your existing character progress.
  • Step controls: reduce repeated work when opening step options, completing steps and skipping quests with professions selected. Temporary messages can be dismissed and clear after eight seconds without changing progress.
  • Panel spacing: aligned outer padding, objective counters and section gaps, including compact mode and larger text.
  • Profession library: installed profession guides are grouped by Mining, Herbalism and Skinning, with alongside-levelling, standalone and project choices inside. Older guide progress remains accessible.
  • Standalone professions: the Professions tab shows your current guide and skill, with a return to your saved levelling route. A missing tool leaves a blocked circuit preview on the map.
  • Quest prerequisites: collect The Everstill Bridge reward before Alther's Mill. Skyborne follow-ups check the correct faction rewards, and A Light in the Darkness checks The Damned.
  • Included downloads: all eight free starter routes remain bundled. Paid levelling packs are separate; the prepared profession packs are still awaiting public release.

Automated runtime and upgrade checks cover these changes. Full native route, class and profession playthroughs remain incomplete.

Alther’s Mill and quest prerequisite fixes0.24.3-beta.11

This update fixes the Alther's Mill blocker and applies the confirmed findings from eight independent reviews of the 1–20 guides.

  • Human, Dwarf & Gnome and Alliance Skyborne: finish The Everstill Bridge and collect its reward before accepting Alther's Mill. The route returns to Lakeshire between the northern gnoll supplies and the mill outing.
  • Human: collect bridge work, Westbrook Garrison Needs Help! and A Baying of Gnolls during their existing quest-giver visits. Their fieldwork stays on the planned outings.
  • Skyborne: follow-up pickups check the appropriate faction introduction and service rewards. Alliance collects Tower Defense before the Bugged detour.
  • Undead: A Light in the Darkness checks the reward for The Damned, including when recovering earlier work.
  • Orc & Troll: correct two Warlock instructions about an excluded shared hunt and an optional referral.
  • Saved progress: preserve completed work, accepted quests and manual choices. A guide waiting at Alther's Mill can recover unfinished bridge work without marking it complete.

Automated route and addon checks passed. Recorded Forever gameplay supports the Alther sequence, and other added requirements use public quest records. Full native playthroughs remain incomplete. Night Elf and Tauren route content is unchanged.

Background opacity and quest order fixes0.24.3-beta.10

This update adds a background opacity setting and fixes quest order and missing quests found in a review of all eight guides against AllTheThings, Wowhead and player feedback.

  • Background opacity: under Appearance in /wisp settings, set the guide panel's background from 100% down to 20% in 10% steps. Text, icons and buttons stay fully visible. The default is 90%, and Reset panel size restores 90%. Existing saved opacity choices are kept. The setting applies to every character on your WoW account.
  • Alliance Skyborne: The Missing Scholar is no longer optional. Fillion's Mission follows it, and Catching Wind waits for Fillion's Mission. Stolen Supplies is picked up after you hand in Among the Faithful, as it is for Horde Skyborne.
  • Horde Skyborne: Blood for Blood is picked up after you hand in A Firm Response.
  • Human, Dwarf & Gnome and Alliance Skyborne: Alther's Mill is picked up after The Everstill Bridge, from the same foreman. Blackrock Blockade is added and taken with Blackrock Menace from Marshal Marris. Dwarf & Gnome and Alliance Skyborne also add Snowbound in Thelsamar.
  • Human Paladin: Tome of Divinity is taken from Brother Wilhelm in Goldshire and handed to Duthorian Rall.
  • Undead: Sticks and Bones is added. Paladins add Rediscovering the Light from Aramis Hammerhand in Deathknell.
  • Tauren: Grace of An'she and Mu'sha and Chakuyak are added, and the optional Sparring Match is added in Bloodhoof Village.
  • Saved progress: preserve completed work, accepted quests, skipped quests and manual choices when updating. Quests added before your place follow the usual catch-up rules. The Night Elf and Orc & Troll guides are unchanged.

Automated runtime checks passed. The opacity setting and the new quest order have not been checked in the Wisp client.

One-time setting tips0.24.3-beta.9

This update adds two one-time chat tips, because Wisp does not show a setup screen that would otherwise explain these defaults.

  • Quest tracker: the first time Wisp hides Blizzard's quest tracker, it says so in chat and tells you how to bring it back: turn off Hide Blizzard quest tracker under Appearance in /wisp settings. Your quest log is unchanged.
  • Quest automation: the first time Wisp accepts or turns in a quest for you, it says so in chat. Hold Shift when you talk to a quest giver to handle quests yourself, or change this under Questing in /wisp settings.
  • Saved progress: preserve completed work, accepted quests, skipped quests and manual choices when updating. Each tip appears once per WoW account. The eight guides are unchanged.

Automated runtime and upgrade checks passed. The tips have not been checked in the Wisp client.

Catch-up no longer interrupts0.24.3-beta.8

This update removes the catch-up notice. It only mentioned quests you had not picked up, which could send you looking for them in your quest log.

  • No notice: when you have outlevelled earlier chapters, or a route update adds work before your place, the guide still skips independent quests you have not picked up. It no longer shows a notice about them. A notice saved by the previous version is cleared.
  • Skipped in All steps: those quests are labelled Skipped instead of Deferred, and chapter rows count them, such as “3 skipped”. Steps you set aside yourself still show as Deferred. Restore one with Restore quest in All steps, or all of them with Restore skipped steps in Tools.
  • Saved progress: preserve completed work, accepted quests, skipped quests and manual choices when updating. The eight guides are unchanged.

Automated runtime and upgrade checks passed. The Skipped labels have not been checked in the Wisp client.

Clearer starts with Quest together0.24.3-beta.7

This update fixes a Start guide button that could stay greyed out with Quest together on, and moves the Undead Ivar the Foul pickup to when Rane Yorick offers it.

  • Start guide: with Quest together on, Start guide could stay greyed out without saying why. A new guide now starts straight away when the suggested start sets nothing aside. If it would set earlier quests aside, the guide page says Quest together is on and offers Party options, or you can start from the first unfinished quest instead. If you are on a detour, it offers Return to route.
  • Ivar the Foul (Undead): the guide now picks it up from Rane Yorick after you hand in Return to Quinn (Again). Recorded beta gameplay shows Rane offering it only then.
  • Saved progress: preserve completed work, accepted quests and manual choices when updating. If your Undead guide was waiting on the old Ivar the Foul pickup, it resumes from Wild Eyes.

Automated route, runtime and upgrade checks passed. The new Ivar the Foul order comes from recorded beta gameplay and has not been checked in the Wisp client.

Pickups that wait for the quest giver0.24.3-beta.6

This update fixes the Skyborne Adventurer pickup and applies a second prerequisite review to every pickup in all eight starting guides.

  • The Adventurer (Skyborne): the Alliance and Horde Skyborne guides no longer ask you to accept The Adventurer before Aetheen offers it. It is now picked up when you hand in Foul Matriarch.
  • Prerequisites: these pickups now wait for the quest that unlocks them: Aggressive Encroachment, Al'Aketh Thugs, Elemental Unrest and Call of Earth (Skyborne), Timberling Sprouts (Night Elf), The Adventurer (Night Elf, Tauren and Undead), Minshina's Skull, Report to Orgnil and Zalazane (Orc & Troll), and Underground Map (Dwarf & Gnome). Agitators (Skyborne) now waits only for Coming of Age.
  • Underground Map: the Dwarf & Gnome guide now picks it up after you hand in Nip 'Em in the Bud.
  • Referral quests: if you skipped Speak with Jennea, Gakin's Summons or Milly Osworth (Human), Raven Hill (Dwarf & Gnome, Alliance Skyborne), A Visitor to Dun Morogh, Speak with Bink or The Slaughtered Lamb (Dwarf & Gnome), or Conscript of the Horde, Devourer of Souls or To Orgrimmar! (Orc & Troll), the guide still offers the follow-up. Accepting it completes the referral.
  • Saved progress: preserve completed work, accepted quests and manual choices when updating all eight guides. If you were waiting on the old Adventurer or Underground Map pickup, the Skyborne guides resume from Aetheen of the Gales and the Dwarf & Gnome guide from Never Saddle on Quality.

Automated route, runtime and upgrade checks passed. The Skyborne Adventurer pickup was observed in the client. The other new requirements come from public quest records and have not been checked in game. The Night Elf and Tauren Adventurer pickups follow the pattern of the other starting zones because no record lists their prerequisite.

Guides that keep pace with your level0.24.3-beta.5

This update moves you past quests you have outlevelled, fixes the guidance arrow after a quest area and applies a prerequisite review of all eight starting guides.

  • Automatic catch-up: once you are above a chapter's level range, or two levels above while you are still working in it, its independent earlier quests are set aside and a notice offers Undo. Prerequisites of later quests, quests in your log, class quests and level-gated pickups stay. Nothing is set aside while quest history is loading, while browsing or paused, in Quest together or before you choose a starting point. This replaces the Review shorter route prompt.
  • Guide updates: when an update adds quests before your current position, independent ones are set aside the same way instead of sending you back. Set-aside work is never marked complete and can be restored from the guide tools.
  • Quest areas: the arrow returns as soon as you walk back out past the area's entry. Previously it could stay on In quest area until you reloaded.
  • Breadcrumbs: a breadcrumb its giver stops offering once you can take the follow-up now completes through that follow-up.
  • Required prerequisites: quests that later steps depend on are now required, including Eagan Peltskinner (Human), The Defias Brotherhood, Raven Hill and Jitters' Growling Gut (Dwarf & Gnome, Alliance Skyborne), Child of Nature (Alliance Skyborne), Gan'rul's Summons, To Orgrimmar! and Hinott's Assistance (Orc & Troll), Veteran Uzzek (Tauren) and Hinott's Assistance (Undead).
  • Skyborne Aquatic Form: remove the Night Elf Aquatic Form quests from the Alliance Skyborne guide. Quest data lists them for Night Elves only. The Skyborne Aquatic Form quest is not yet identified.
  • The Barrens: reorder the Taurajo quests and move the prowler and Echeyakee hunts to visits the Horde guides already make. Wenikee Boltbucket and Nugget Slugs are optional in all four Horde guides.
  • Saved progress: preserve completed work, accepted quests and manual choices when updating all eight guides.

Automated route, runtime and upgrade checks passed. The level ranges used to set work aside come from each chapter's plan and are not yet checked against live XP. Full native route playthroughs and some class offers remain under beta review.

More quests, less repeated work0.24.3-beta.4

This update fills confirmed quest gaps and improves requirements and outing order across all eight starting guides. It also reduces repeated processing during movement and when navigation displays are hidden.

  • Missing quests: add 37 quest entries across the guide collection, covering 30 distinct quests. These include Priest lessons, Warrior equipment quests, local deliveries and additional Skyborne forest and scholar quests.
  • Corrected requirements: remove 24 incorrect prerequisite checks, correct affected level requirements and allow direct trainer offers without requiring optional referral quests first.
  • Shared outings: collect useful objectives during planned fieldwork and keep hand-ins on existing return visits. Extra class equipment quests and costly side trips remain optional.
  • Practical preparation: clarify required spells, tools and quest items before affected class trials and delivery chains.
  • Movement performance: ordinary movement no longer triggers a full quest and route rescan every second. Fresh quest-data checks continue, and arrival, nearby objectives and advice still update when relevant conditions change.
  • Hidden navigation: stop destination calculations for a hidden or disabled arrow. Turning off both map-pin options clears existing pins and stops their destination work. Visible transport controls continue checking distance and cooldowns.
  • Saved progress: preserve completed work, accepted quests and manual choices when updating all eight guides.

Automated route, runtime and upgrade checks passed. Full native route playthroughs and some Skyborne class offers remain under beta review.

Better quest order and shared outings0.24.3-beta.3

This update corrects quest prerequisites and outing order across the starting guides, with particular improvements to the Skyborne opening.

  • Skyborne opening: pick up both first hunts together and hand them in before the next assignments. Add Falling With Style during the tower visit.
  • Shared objectives: hunt the Cirrusfly Queen while collecting windstones on the same outing. Finish any remaining collection before returning.
  • Cleaner objective list: remove handed-in quests from the current outing instead of continuing to show them as Done.
  • Quest availability: add sourced pickup level checks and correct prerequisite ordering in affected story and class chains, including the Dwarf Shaman introduction and Night Elf plant quests.
  • Less backtracking: combine southeastern Mulgore harpies with the Winterhoof trip and keep northern Barrens fieldwork together before the Ratchet return in all four Horde guides.
  • Saved progress: preserve completed work and manual choices when updating. Automatic tracking can move from the old Skyborne collection step to the reordered Queen outing.

All eight 1–20 guides remain included, along with the existing performance, objective UI and closer-arrival improvements. No new profession features or level 20–30 routes are added.

Automated route, runtime and upgrade checks passed. Full native route playthroughs and some Skyborne class offers remain under beta review.

Better pickups and closer guidance0.24.3-beta.2

This update combines a quest-pickup correction with closer navigation arrival thresholds.

  • Pickups before fieldwork: when a quest needs a higher level, check eligible pickups planned before the next outing. This fixes the level-one Skyborne opening skipping Infestation Investigation before the Vuldren hunt. The shared correction applies across all eight guides.
  • Protect current work: keep an accepted outing underway without interruptions. Continue respecting prerequisites, skipped quests, chapter boundaries and quest-log capacity.
  • Point destinations: keep guidance active until within 10 yards of the marker, or closer where the guide uses a smaller radius. Resume guidance five yards beyond that threshold.
  • Quest areas: keep the arrow and minimap target visible until farther inside the search area. The existing distance text counts down to this arrival boundary, then shows In quest area. Once settled, players can roam throughout the area without the arrow repeatedly reappearing.
  • Progress compatibility: keep the same guides, completed steps, accepted quests and saved choices. Quest-completion rules, shaded search areas, access waypoints and corpse guidance retain their existing behavior.

The route-location corrections from 0.24.3-beta.1 remain included. Automated checks do not replace live playthroughs, and proximity to a stored marker does not guarantee NPC interaction range.

Reported level-up hitches and other known beta issues remain under investigation.

More accurate quest destinations0.24.3-beta.1

This route update improves destinations and instructions while keeping the objective UI and performance improvements from the previous release.

  • Forever map coordinates: correct inherited positions in Stormwind, Redridge and Mulgore, including class visits and shared destinations.
  • Human route: direct Downstream to Ormin Pelford near the bridge and pick it up before the logging camp. Correct Stolen Enchanting Supplies and Tordrin destinations, collecting the supplies during the northern outing.
  • Objective markers: correct the southern Redridge gnoll camp, Arbal, Deepmoss Spider Eggs and Galak hunting areas. Add Benedict's chest for The Admiral's Orders and remove creature targets from selected ground-object searches.
  • Practical directions: loot Skyborne supplies from Al'Aketh Stormcallers after the wardrobe meeting. Clarify tower floors, cave searches, windstone landmarks and the Dwarf Earth shrine. Updated instructions also appear in the compact panel where applicable.
  • Progress compatibility: retain all eight guides, completed steps, accepted quests and manual choices when upgrading.

Some cave interiors, scattered objects and new NPCs still use approximate markers. Follow the written directions and live quest objectives where available, and use Send feedback if a destination is wrong. Full route/class playthroughs remain incomplete.

No new profession features, level 20–30 routes or private saving helpers are included. Reported level-up hitches remain under investigation.

A clearer view of every objective0.24.2-beta.3

See what to finish at a glance, with clearer objective rows and less repeated addon processing.

  • Objective checklist: separate rows show an objective icon, its name, a right-aligned count and a quieter quest name. Completed objectives show a green check.
  • Shared work: related objectives appear together where the route has a reviewed outing, including Echo Ridge workers and Stolen Books. Completed rows stay visible while related work remains, and directions explain what is left. Broader hunts still appear under Do along the way.
  • Cleaner layout: smaller, muted directions keep objectives prominent. Target sits beside Details. Send feedback sits beside Step options, where the manual overrides for automatic quest steps now live. Manual and recovery actions remain accessible.
  • Route fixes: improve pickup, objective and hand-in order around Crystal Lake, Night Elf lake and city visits, Balnir, Taurajo, Tauren claws and the Dwarf/Gnome Farsen visit. Include the Human Hunter trainer letter by default, add Stolen Enchanting Supplies and Blood for Blood to their outings, and offer Swelling Forces as optional work alongside Mathystra Relics.
  • Performance: batch relevant loot updates, avoid full route refreshes for unrelated loot messages and reuse unchanged route information. Fresh quest-data checks continue, while full reconciliation is skipped when nothing changes. Quest acceptance, rewards and abandonment remain immediate.

All eight guides remain included, with existing guide identities and saved choices preserved. The new profession features and level 20–30 routes are not part of this release. Reported level-up hitches remain under investigation.

A better plan for each outing0.24.0-beta.3

Know what to do now, what to collect on the way and what to finish before heading back. This update improves all eight starting-area guides and keeps your saved progress.

  • This outing: see related quests together, with completed hunts still visible while you finish the rest. Return instructions appear at the planned hand-in.
  • Do along the way: collect widespread hunt objectives while travelling to your next destination. Wisp asks you to finish anything missing at the planned cleanup point before returning or leaving the area.
  • Clearer panel: one short instruction stays above the counters, with supporting context in Details. Unfinished counters are off-white, supporting labels are muted mint and completed objectives have a green tick.
  • Better nearby suggestions: keep useful unfinished fieldwork visible without mixing in deliveries, completed hand-ins or duplicate objectives.
  • Route corrections: add missing local quests and useful chains across the collection, correct selected hand-in order and destinations, and add the publicly documented Alliance Skyborne Aquatic Form branch. Group quests and costly detours remain optional.

All eight guides still target level 20. Existing guide identities, accepted quests and saved choices are retained. Full route playthroughs, exact XP pacing and some class offers remain under beta review.

Find your body. Mark your milestones.0.22.3-beta.4

A clearer body marker, a smaller level-up celebration and less repeated work around levelling. All eight guides and your saved progress remain compatible.

  • Body marker: an upright skull marks your body on the world map and minimap while you are a ghost. Quest markers return after resurrection.
  • Compact celebration: the smaller level-up card closes after eight seconds with a visible countdown. Hovering or entering combat pauses it; reopen it from Tools → Session → Share last level.
  • Nearby sharing: share through /emote, Party or Guild when you click. A yellow star accompanies your level and a green triangle accompanies ForeverWisp. Last-level time appears when Wisp has observed the full level.
  • Level-up performance: reduce duplicate updates around levelling and improve optional performance diagnostics in copied feedback reports. Reported level-up stutters remain under investigation.

Quest order and guide versions are unchanged. The preceding UI candidate passed 823 automated checks and native card/texture checks on build 69977; the final marker update passed 19 sharing tests and three actual-ZIP checks. A native level-up capture still showed a brief hitch.

Targets that keep up with your progress0.22.2-beta.1

Quest targets now follow unfinished objectives, and progress displays recover when quest data arrives late. All eight guides and your saved progress remain compatible.

  • Correct targets: switch the Target button and expanded target label when an objective finishes. For example, finishing Mindless Zombies in The Mindless Ones now leaves Wretched Zombies as the target.
  • Live counters: update quest progress while manually following a step, holding a step open or waiting for a party.
  • Delayed updates: refresh objective markers and quest-mob indicators when the game supplies progress after the initial event.

No settings change is needed. Quest order, guide versions and progress identities are unchanged. Tested with automated Lua regressions, including the reported case against the released guide; this patch has not had a new in-game combat check. The beta saving limitation remains.

More direct guidance0.22.1-beta.1

More direct navigation, clearer class quests and less repeated work during quest, combat and inventory updates. All eight starting-area guides remain included; this update preserves their quest order and progress identities.

  • Performance: reduce repeated quest-log scans and batch bursts of inventory and quest updates. Add optional local performance recording for feedback. Initial combat and looting checks showed no visible issue; this does not establish that every reported freeze is fixed.
  • Direct navigation: point toward the quest instead of sending you back to ordinary road checkpoints. Keep authored cave entrances and access points, plus useful transport suggestions. Reached entrances no longer reappear after a temporary loss of map coordinates.
  • Body recovery: while you are a ghost, guide you toward your body and pause automatic guide advancement. Resume quest guidance after resurrection; show a clear message if body coordinates are unavailable.
  • Minimap arrow: point Wisp’s small travel arrow toward its destination on fixed and rotating minimaps, including markers at the edge.
  • Class quests: label class-quest steps in the chapter browser so their place in your guide is clearer.

For Forever beta 1.60.1, interface 16001; packaged for build 69913 and checked in-game on build 69977. All 798 automated addon tests passed. Full route/class playthroughs remain incomplete. Direct guidance does not detect terrain or discover new gates. The beta saving limitation is unchanged, and no external saving helper or private test data is included.

The public beta begins0.22.0-beta.1

One download with eight starting-area routes towards level 20: Human, Dwarf/Gnome, Night Elf, Alliance Skyborne, Orc/Troll, Tauren, Undead and Horde Skyborne. Introduced character-specific guide selection, automatic starting points based on level and quest history, nearby objectives, Find XP and Send feedback.

Earlier releases

Public downloads were paused on 18 September while the Forever beta collection was prepared. The withdrawn 0.12.0-alpha contained Classic reference routes. Close WoW, back up WTF and replace only the ForeverWisp addon folder when updating. Keep your SavedVariables.
