What can I use today?
The free tester alpha includes five Classic reference guides. Forever routes are in preparation and are not verified in the Forever client. Paid purchases are not open. Read available articles or get the tester alpha.
Install the tester alpha
Follow the current installation instructions. The alpha requires a client interface number and a .toc file. On Windows, use the included setup helper or the manual instructions. On macOS, use the manual instructions and a plain-text editor. This is a tester workflow; a player release will identify its supported client build.
The final folder must contain Interface/AddOns/ForeverWisp/ForeverWisp.toc alongside the Lua files. Avoid an extra nested ForeverWisp folder or a .toc.txt filename. Restart the game after installing, enable the addon and enter /wisp.
Use two professions with your route
Open your levelling guide’s Professions settings and choose up to two supported professions. Their trainer and tool stops appear in the same route at authored visits. Gathering reminders accompany suitable quests. Current woven placements cover the Classic Elwynn test route; other routes do not automatically gain that coverage.
You can pause or remove either profession. Adding one later uses a supported upcoming visit when available. Standalone profession guides are also in Guides.
Update without losing your place
Close the game and back up the ForeverWisp SavedVariables files in your account’s WTF folder before updating. Replace the addon files in Interface/AddOns, not the WTF folder. Follow the release notes for any manual setup. Do not merge old and new Lua files. Stable steps retain progress where supported; changed routes can require review. Website checklists and in-game progress are separate.
Uninstall
Close the game and remove the ForeverWisp folder from Interface/AddOns. Keep SavedVariables if you may return. Deleting the corresponding SavedVariables files also removes local saved progress, so back them up first.
The guide is missing or something went wrong
Check folder nesting, the .toc name and whether the addon is enabled. If errors continue, disable the alpha and send us the version, client build and reproduction steps. Do not send your whole account or WTF folder.
Accounts and personal guide packs
Accounts and purchases are not open publicly yet. When available, personal packs will require the linked Battle.net account. They work across supported characters on that account. Changing your BattleTag requires verifying the same account and downloading fresh packs. Contact us if you used the wrong email or linked the wrong account; do not create repeated purchases to recover access.
