WoW Forever Australian social features warning: Blizzard confirms a fix
Saw a social features locked message in the Forever beta? Blizzard has fixed the false warning affecting Australian testers. Here is what to check next.
The Australian beta warning was a bug
Blizzard has confirmed a fix for the WoW Forever beta dialog that incorrectly told Australian players their social features were locked. Kaivax’s original post said the warning did not reflect the actual state of those features.
The fix confirmation appeared on October 3. The updated post labels the announcement as 04:00 AEDT on October 4, so Australian readers may see the next day’s date on the same update.

What does that mean for playing with friends?
This announcement addresses one specific beta login warning. It does not say that every party, chat or Battle.net account problem has been fixed. If that dialog was your only symptom, check the game again before treating it as a new restriction.
Our suggested check is to close the beta, let Battle.net finish any available update and sign back in. Then try the social action you actually need, such as inviting your friend or using party chat. This is a way to check your current situation, not an additional Blizzard-published fix.
If you still see a problem, record what fails
A warning and an action that fails are different things. A useful report says whether the message returned, whether the invitation or chat worked, and whether the problem appeared before or after updating the client.
- Keep the exact message and a screenshot of it.
- Note the beta build, realm and local time.
- Describe the failed action separately from the warning.
- If a Battle.net account notice appears outside the beta, follow up through Blizzard’s account support. This beta announcement does not establish the cause of a separate account restriction.
Should you reset your leveling addon?
Nothing in Blizzard’s announcement identifies a leveling addon as the cause or asks players to erase addon settings. We would not reset your guide progress in response to this message alone.
If your quest guide has a separate problem, describe that separately too. A missing quest step, an installation issue and a social warning need different checks. Keeping the symptoms distinct makes it easier to get useful help and return to your group.
