WoW Forever Dungeon Journal addon: find dungeon quests before you leave town

A quest checklist before the group sets off
Dungeon Journal is a community addon for players who want their dungeon preparation in one place. Its author’s September 24 demonstration shows quest information alongside pickup locations, rewards, experience and faction or class requirements. A map button helps you locate the quest giver.
That makes it a useful tool to investigate before a first run. Finding out that you missed a prerequisite after everyone reaches the entrance is a frustrating way to start an evening.
What to check before your first run
Start with the dungeon you and your group actually intend to visit. Make your own short list of pickups and outstanding prerequisites. Compare it with your quest log before travelling.
- Check your faction, class and level against the listed requirements.
- Read any prerequisite chain before expecting a quest giver to offer the final quest.
- Leave bag space for quest items and rewards.
- Agree where to meet and which quests each player still needs.
- Check the current client reward before planning a purchase around an addon listing.
The beta data is still catching up
The author explicitly flagged Wailing Caverns loot and quest-reward bugs in the launch discussion and said an update was planned. We have not verified that those particular corrections are now released. Check the current project changelog before relying on that dungeon’s numbers.
Likewise, a request in the comments to label shareable quests was an idea for future work. Do not assume that seeing a quest in the list means a party member can share it with you.
Dungeon preparation and your outdoor route

We have not tested the two addons together. There is no automatic integration being announced here. If you try both, keep their panels separate and check that each behaves as expected before heading out.
