WoW Forever Duskwood torch: where to find it and how it works
Find the reusable torch reported in the WoW Forever beta, with a Duskwood screenshot, the Night Watch Guard location and tips for using it while exploring.

Where is the reusable torch in Duskwood?
Look for a fallen Night Watch Guard on the path towards Duskwood’s dragon boss area. The player who shared the discovery says you can interact with the body to pick up a reusable torch. Their screenshot shows coordinates 47.9, 59.5.
That gives you a place to start looking, rather than an exact waypoint we have tested. Match the body and surrounding path with the screenshot above. This is a player discovery from the beta, not a Blizzard announcement that the torch was added in a particular patch.
How long does the torch last?
The original report describes a five-minute duration and a 30-second cooldown. Replies describe an item you use from your bags, without replacing your equipped weapons. The short cooldown lets you use it again when available, rather than finding a new torch each time.
Once you have it, check the current tooltip and try it somewhere safe. If you enjoy exploring dark paths, keeping the item on a spare action-bar button should make it easier to find when you want some light.

Why does the torch disappear?
Players in the follow-up discussion report that the effect ends when combat starts. They also describe different results between outdoor areas and cities. Those observations do not establish a complete list of supported locations.
If yours disappears, check whether you entered combat or changed area. Wait until you are safe and the cooldown has finished before trying again. If it behaves differently, note the location, client build and what happened just before it went out. That is more useful in a beta report than simply saying the torch is broken.
Is it worth collecting while leveling?
If you are already exploring Duskwood and like the atmosphere, it looks like a fun stop. We would treat it as an optional discovery for your journey. These reports do not show an experience bonus, a combat advantage or a quest requirement.
For a new character still in a starting zone, there is no need to interrupt your route just to collect it. The screenshot is a location reference, not a safe travel guide for a low-level character. Save the visit until you are comfortable travelling through the area.

Has Blizzard announced a torch equipment slot?
The September 26 post asking for an extra torch slot is a player suggestion. It is not confirmation that Blizzard is adding one. The useful discovery here is the item players can already collect and use in the beta.
