WoW Forever weather update: Blizzard previews stronger weather effects
Blizzard says increased weather effects are coming to the Forever beta. Watch the preview and see what is confirmed, what is still unknown and how to report issues.

What has Blizzard announced?
Blizzard has previewed increased weather effects for the WoW Forever beta. Kaivax posted the announcement on 23 September with the message that the update is coming soon.
That is a promise of an upcoming change, not a release note confirming deployment. The announcement does not give an exact date, a complete list of affected zones or a timetable for storms.
Was weather missing from the beta?
Player reports were mixed before this announcement. Our earlier discoveries roundup collected reports of rain and snow in some zones. Blizzard’s wording is increased weather effects, so this should not be described as the first weather ever seen in the beta.
Clear skies during one visit do not tell you whether the update has arrived. Check the current patch notes before using a single session as proof.
What about fog, seasonal weather or gameplay effects?
The forum replies include requests for more elaborate storms and environmental details. Those replies are player wishes, not announced features. The short Blizzard post does not confirm seasonal systems, weather damage or NPCs reacting to rain.
For now, enjoy the preview for what it shows. There is no reason in this announcement to change your leveling build or abandon a planned route.
If weather causes a problem during your session
If you encounter poor visibility or a performance issue, make your report specific. Include the zone, approximate location, client build and graphics settings. A screenshot or short clip can show what made it difficult to play.
For a performance comparison, use the same location and settings where possible. We have not measured the update’s effect on frame rate, so there is no tested setting recommendation here.
