WoW Forever quest fixes: Darkshore, Lunaclaw and The Attack

The October 15 beta notes fix several leveling roadblocks. Check Darkshore quest credit, reusable Cenarion Moondust, The Attack and what to retry first.

Which stuck quests are worth trying again?

If you set aside a quest because an objective would not update or an event would not finish, the October 15 WoW Forever beta notes are worth checking before you skip it again. Blizzard lists fixes in several early leveling zones.

This is a short checklist for returning to those quests. It covers the announced changes, followed by our advice for checking your own progress. We have not replayed every affected quest after the patch.

Before abandoning and accepting a quest again

Open the native quest log and read the current objective. Are you missing credit, waiting for an event, or already ready to turn in? Those states need different next steps. A quest that is complete does not need another trip around its objective area.

For a previously skipped quest, check that it still fits the route you are taking. If you are returning to an older zone, combine the trip with another useful stop where possible. You do not need to restart your character’s entire route just to revisit one repaired quest.

For an event, check whether someone else is already doing it before starting another attempt. Record the current state before abandoning anything, especially when a chain or quest item is involved.

What if my leveling addon still shows the old step?

The game’s quest state and the addon’s displayed step can disagree. First compare the quest name and objective in both places. Then check that you have selected the right character route and are using the current guide release.

If you deliberately skipped a step earlier, a server patch does not explain to the guide why you skipped it. Review that step before changing progress. Avoid marking a quest complete merely because the patch notes say its bug was fixed.

When reporting a mismatch to Wisp, include the route, step, quest name and what the native quest log shows. That helps distinguish an outdated instruction from an objective that is still failing in the game.

If the problem continues after the update

Write down the client build, character level, quest state and the action that fails. Add the NPC or location and whether you were grouped. A brief description such as “objective remained at zero after this interaction” is easier to investigate than “the whole quest is broken”.

An announced fix is a reason to retry the relevant action. It is not proof that every similar symptom has disappeared. Keep a reproducible quest bug separate from a route suggestion when sending feedback.
