A fuller journey beyond the starting zones
The stretch after level 20 should give you a clear next destination and useful work along the way. We have reviewed both faction guides and released an update that fills quest gaps, repairs prerequisites and brings several rewards forward to better points in the journey.
The update adds 20 quest placements across the two guides, including optional work and conditional repairs. You will see the steps that apply to your character and your progress.
What changes for your faction
- Alliance: more Wetlands work and a connected Windshear quest circuit, plus corrections to Wolf Kabobs and Uncovering the Past. Easier Redridge rewards come before Fangore.
- Horde: the Thunder Bluff airport chain, optional Chen deliveries and the outdoor Trouble in the Deeps delivery. Ore, agave and Steelsnap rewards come before the level-28 checkpoint.
- Both factions: compatible starter handoffs and update notices, with completed work, accepted quests and manual choices preserved.
Update the addon and your personal pack
This release pairs Wisp 0.27.1-beta.2 with version 0.10.3 of the Alliance and Horde 20–30 packs. Close WoW, update the free addon, then download your updated personal pack from My guides and install it alongside Wisp. Keep your SavedVariables.
The free addon still includes all eight starter routes. Your 20–30 guide remains a separate personal download, included with the corresponding 20–60 pre-order or the launch collection.
Still a beta, still improving
XP pacing and full in-game playthroughs remain under review. Extra fighting may still be needed, particularly on the Horde route. This update improves the authored journey; it does not promise that quests alone will carry every character to level 30.
If something sends you back unnecessarily, a quest is unavailable or the pace feels wrong, use Send feedback in Wisp. Your quest, level and faction help us investigate the right part of the route.
