WoW Forever beta level cap rises to 30: October 1 leveling preparation

Blizzard plans to raise the WoW Forever beta cap to 30 after October 1 maintenance. Check the announced timing, prepare your character and review Wisp’s current coverage.

When does the WoW Forever beta cap increase?

Blizzard plans to raise the WoW Forever beta level cap to 30 after maintenance beginning October 1. The US notice schedules a morning Pacific Daylight Time shutdown and a return several hours later with an updated build. The EU window runs into early October 2 CEST.

The announcement gives a maintenance window, not an exact reopening time. At this article’s check, the increase is still scheduled. It is not confirmation that characters can already gain levels past 20.

US and EU maintenance windows

Blizzard’s US and EU notices give different regional windows. EU players should follow the EU announcement, which expects the updated beta back early on October 2 in Central European Summer Time.

The UK is one hour behind CEST. Neither notice gives exact clock times, so check your regional thread before arranging a group session.

A useful checklist before leveling from 20 to 30

You can get ready without guessing which new route will be quickest. Take stock of the character you already have, then read the new build notes when they arrive.

  • Clear space in your bags and save materials for recipes you actually want to make.
  • Check your quest log for unfinished chains and note where you left off.
  • Set aside money for training, repairs and supplies.
  • Agree on a starting point with friends before everyone heads in different directions.
  • After updating, check your action bars and addon interface before beginning a long session.

Plan the next talent choices before spending

Open your talent tree and look at the choices you want to reach next. Decide which points belong in that plan before spending them as each level arrives.

If you are trying a different build, change one thing at a time. Keep a note of your previous choices so you can compare ordinary questing sessions without relying on a single lucky fight.

Does Wisp include a level 20 to 30 route?

The current free Wisp beta includes eight starting routes towards level 20. This game update does not extend that guide coverage to 30.

If you are trying another character, use a supported starting route on the website or in the addon. If you are continuing a level 20 character, check the new build notes and your quest log when the servers return before choosing where to go next.
