WoW Forever Druid Cat Form quest: the three relics and the loot bug fix

Unlock Cat Form at level 20 in WoW Forever. Follow the Moonglade quest, find the three Stormrage Barrow Den relics and check the September 28 loot bug update.

How do you unlock Cat Form in WoW Forever?

Druids unlock Cat Form through a class quest at level 20 in the Forever beta. The main trial takes you into Stormrage Barrow Den in Moonglade to collect three relics. It is worth setting aside a little time for this trip when you reach 20, rather than expecting your usual trainer visit to finish the whole job.

If an earlier attempt ended with a “No loot” message, there is good news. Wowhead reported on September 28 that Josh Greenfield said the Cat Form quest bug should now be resolved. We have not independently tested the fix, but the old reports of long queues should not be treated as the current instructions for completing it.

Start with Dendrite, then follow your quest to the spirit

The Great Cat Spirit chain sends you to Dendrite Starblaze in Nighthaven, Moonglade. Its opening text expects you to have learned your Moonglade teleport already. Check your current class quest and spellbook before planning a long journey on foot.

The next step points to the Great Cat Spirit on a hill overlooking a bridge in southern Moonglade. Follow the objective in your own quest log. The Windborne version uses the Avatar of Saeyleenan, so a different spirit name does not mean you have picked up the wrong class lesson.

Collect the Fang, Claw and Silent Shadow relics

The relic trial sends you into Stormrage Barrow Den, east of the spirit. The quest text describes hostile spirits guarding the relics and a statue at the entrance that grants temporary stealth. Use that help and read the active effect before moving further inside.

Check all three objectives as you go. The quest asks for one of each relic, so another copy of something you already have will not replace the missing item.

Finish the blessing and return to your trainer

Take the relics back to the spirit named in your quest. After the trial, the Blessings of the Great Cat Spirit step sends you back to Dendrite for the next part of your training. The Windborne blessing also directs you back to him.

There is still a final journey after the blessing. Alliance Druids receive To Darnassus and return to Mathrengyl Bearwalker in the Cenarion Enclave. Horde Druids receive To Thunder Bluff and return to Turak Runetotem on the Elder Rise. The records include the Skyborne variants and list Cat Form as the learned reward. Finish that hand-in before resuming your leveling route.

Still seeing “No loot” after the fix?

First compare the object you are clicking with the relic still missing from your quest log. If the matching objective remains incomplete, record the relic name, your current quest, client build and error message in a beta bug report.

The September 28 announcement gives us a reported fix, not a guaranteed workaround for every later loot problem. Reinstalling a leveling addon is not an established solution to this quest issue, and we would not abandon the chain simply because an older discussion says it is impossible.

Keep your class quests with the rest of your journey

Our Night Elf and Tauren written routes have a Druid class choice so you can see the authored class steps alongside your regular quests. Use the talent guide below when you want to review your build as well.

If you prefer directions in game, Wisp brings supported routes into its guide panel. You can spend more of the session playing and less of it finding your place in a browser guide.
