Forever Leveling Guide addon vs Wisp: planner or quest route?
Forever Leveling Guide and Wisp both have free WoW Forever downloads. Compare the class planner with Wisp’s quest-by-quest route and see when each one helps.
Forever Leveling Guide or Wisp: the short answer
They do different main jobs. Forever Leveling Guide is a free planner. Type /wowf and it builds a plan from your class, spec, level, professions, gear and faction, with a small panel that says where to level now and what unlocks next. Wisp is a route guide. It puts each quest in order and keeps your current objective, directions and nearby quests beside you.
We make Wisp. Forever Leveling Guide’s features come from its author’s CurseForge page, checked October 21. We have not run the two addons side by side in game.

When Forever Leveling Guide is the better choice
Forever Leveling Guide suits players who want broad advice for their character in one free addon and are happy to choose their own quests.
- You want talents, rotation, macros, gear and professions in the same place as your leveling advice.
- You play in Spanish. The author lists English and Spanish.
- You want to plan level 30 gear and consumables.
- You want to know where to level next but prefer to pick the quests yourself.
When Wisp is the better choice
Wisp suits players who want the questing itself planned, step by step, with the next objective always on screen.
- You do not want to decide which quest comes next. Your route sets the order, from pickup to turn-in.
- You want an arrow to your next stop and your current objective beside you, with nearby objectives kept together for the same trip.
- You want talent orders kept to the current Forever build. Ours moved to build 1.60.1.70450 on October 21 and have not been tested in game yet.
- You level with friends. Party sharing shows who still needs kills or items, and each player keeps their own quest progress.
Can you use both?
Because they focus on different things, you might want the planner for gear and rotation and Wisp for the quest route. We have not tested the two addons together.
If both suggest where to go next, choose one to follow so you always know which advice you are using. The same applies to talents. Follow one build at a time.
