WoW Forever Stitches is neutral: what Duskwood players should know
Blizzard says neutral Stitches is a beta bug. What is confirmed, what remains unknown and how to approach Duskwood questing without relying on temporary behaviour.
Is neutral Stitches an intended Forever change?
No. Blizzard designer Johnny Cash confirmed on October 2 that Stitches being neutral is unintended and will be fixed. The response followed a player screenshot showing a yellow nameplate in Darkshire.
That means the sighting should not be read as a permanent change to Duskwood. The response confirms the bug, but does not specify when the fix will arrive. We have not independently checked Stitches on every beta realm.

What this means while leveling in Duskwood
Our advice is to keep treating Stitches as a hazard when planning a trip through the zone. A neutral encounter in this build is not a promise that your next visit will behave the same way.
Before setting off, check the enemies around your character and the road ahead. If you spot Stitches, give yourself room to observe his current behaviour instead of running close because an old clip showed him standing peacefully in town.
- Do not plan an unattended run past Stitches around this temporary bug.
- Check the current target and nameplate information when he is nearby.
- Keep an escape route in mind before starting another fight.
- If you are questing with friends, warn them when you see him.
Duskwood also received respawn adjustments
Blizzard’s October 1 notes increased respawn rates for many creatures and objects across Duskwood and several other zones. The notes do not provide a per-enemy timer, and that change is separate from the later Stitches report.
For your quest route, watch for enemies returning behind you as well as the next objective ahead. A cleared path through a camp may look different when you return for a turn-in. Exact timings should come from what you see in the current build, not an assumed universal respawn interval.
Use route directions with an eye on the world
A quest arrow helps you find your next stop. It cannot turn a temporary NPC bug into a safe-route guarantee. If a patrolling enemy blocks the path, take a detour or wait for space rather than following the arrow through it.
Wisp’s free beta currently covers eight starting routes towards level 20. If you have reached the end of a supported starting route, use our wider leveling overview to plan your next zone, including trips into Duskwood.
