WoW Forever 25-book rewards: Truthseeker’s Bow and the level-30 quest
Compare the 25-library-book rewards in WoW Forever. Find the level requirement, faction librarians and the important difference between the bow and level-40 off-hands.
Reached level 30? Check your library rewards
The Forever beta has a level-30 library reward quest for players who have returned 25 books. You choose between Truthseeker’s Bow, Crest of Elucidation and Researcher’s Night Light. The catch is that the two off-hands currently require level 40, while the bow’s displayed tooltip has no required character level.
That makes the bow worth a look for a Hunter at the current beta cap. Check the reward in your own quest window before claiming it. Its missing level requirement may change, and we have not tested equipping it in the current client.

Which reward can you use?
All three are listed as item level 45. Item level describes the item, while “Requires Level” controls when your character can equip it. Those are separate fields. The choice is one reward, so compare it with your current equipment before clicking through.

Where to turn in your books
Wowhead’s October 6 report places Garion Wendell inside Stormwind’s Mage Tower at 49.0, 86.4 for Alliance, and Owen Thadd in Undercity’s Magic Quarter at 74.0, 32.4 for Horde. The quest entry is Greater Friend of the Library, ID 82208, and requires level 30.
The earlier 20-book ring quest shares the Greater Friend of the Library name. Match the reward list and quest ID when looking up instructions. A search result about the rings may be accurate but still describe the wrong stage for your character.
Is it worth interrupting your leveling route?
Start with the books you have already returned and the reward you can actually use. If a capital visit is already part of your next session, combine the library stop with training, repairs and supplies. If you still need several books, choose nearby pickups before planning a long trip solely for the reward.
For a Hunter, compare the bow’s damage and speed with your current ranged weapon. For other classes, check whether the reward fits your equipment and role. A blue name alone does not tell you it is an upgrade, and a level-40 requirement matters more than a promising tooltip at level 30.
Keep your collection plan separate from ordinary quest progress. This article is a reward checklist, not a verified 25-book collection route. Wisp can keep your supported quest guide close by while you take a detour, but we are not claiming that its routes collect every library book.
