WoW Forever Cozy Sleeping Bag: quest locations, XP buff and a 12-slot bag
Where the Cozy Sleeping Bag quest chain starts for Alliance and Horde in the WoW Forever beta, what the lie-down XP buff does, and the 12-slot bag it rewards.

What the Cozy Sleeping Bag does
Wowhead reported on 22 September that the Cozy Sleeping Bag quest chain, first seen in Season of Discovery, is present in the WoW Forever beta. The chain rewards the bag itself, five Student Fodder and a 12-slot bag from the quest Stepping Stones. Wowhead credits the find to Brubby and the WoW Secret Finding Discord.
The sleeping bag is a usable item with a one-hour cooldown. Using it makes your character lie down and build an experience bonus of 1% per minute, up to 3%. Wowhead’s guide page links the item and quests; check the tooltip in the client for how long the buff lasts once you stand up, which the report does not spell out.
Where the quest chain starts
Wowhead lists a level 14 requirement and a starting object for each faction. It also notes that the quest-giving objects are visibly marked in the beta, which may not be intended. If a later build hides them, the coordinates below are still the place to look.

Is a 3% experience buff worth a detour?
Our view is that the bag is a small bonus, not a route-defining item. A 3% bonus that takes three minutes of lying down and then an hour of cooldown will not change your session much. The 12-slot bag is the more immediately useful reward at level 14, when many characters still carry small bags or none.
Treat it like the other early bag quests: pick it up when your quests already take you to Westfall or the southern Barrens rather than making a special trip. If you level mostly in dungeons the bag still helps, but the lie-down buff competes with the group’s time.
Fitting it into a levelling route
Alliance characters usually reach Westfall between levels 10 and 16, so the level 14 requirement lines up with ordinary questing there. Horde characters typically pass Camp Taurajo later, in the high teens or low twenties, so on a normal route the bag arrives later for the Horde.
- Pick up the quest when you are already in the zone.
- Use the bag during a natural pause, such as before a dungeon run or while waiting for a friend.
- Keep the 12-slot bag; do not sell it for space in the short term.
- Note the client build if the quest objects are no longer marked.
What we have not verified
ForeverWisp has not completed the chain in the beta. We have not tested how long the buff lasts once you stand up, whether it stacks with rested experience or Camping’s Camp Tent bonus, or whether Student Fodder has changed from its Season of Discovery version. Reported values can change between builds; the 24 September weekly update is the next likely point of change.
