WoW Forever free bags: early quest rewards in the beta
Find the reported Grund and Gozwin bag quest in Dun Morogh, understand its objectives, and check early bag rewards without assuming every starting zone is verified.

Where is the early free bag reported?
Wowhead reports a six-slot, bind-on-pickup bag from Grund and Gozwin in Dun Morogh, encountered around levels 3–4. That is an observation window, not a verified minimum-level requirement.
The article also names Carry Your Weight as a bag-reward quest. It does not establish a complete route for every starting zone. We are keeping confirmed reporting separate from suggestions in the comments.
Grund and Gozwin: what the screenshot establishes
The published quest window names Grund Drokda and shows Gozwin Halfsprocket nearby. Its objectives send the player to a camp in the northwestern hills to recover Gozwin’s Mechanic’s Log and defeat the Snow Leopard Prowler.
The screenshot does not show a map pin or a readable bag tooltip. Check your own quest log and reward panel before following the objective; this page does not supply invented coordinates or a claimed tested route.
A practical checklist for your first bag quest
When you reach a nearby quest hub, inspect the available rewards before buying bag space. Compare the quest with your current loop: a short local objective may fit naturally, while a cross-zone detour could cost more time than the extra slots save.
- Check the quest name, objectives and reward on your current build.
- Keep room to loot objective items before leaving the hub.
- Complete the objectives shown in your own quest log and return for the reward.
- After handing in, check both equipped bags and inventory before assuming the reward is missing.
- If the quest differs, record the build and the changed text rather than forcing an old instruction to fit.
Does every starting zone have a free bag?
That remains unverified in the report we checked. Its suggestion that other zones may have equivalents is a lead for investigation, not proof of universal availability.
For each new example, we want the zone, quest giver, quest name, prerequisites, reward tooltip and build. A completed hand-in is stronger evidence than a bag appearing in extracted item data.
| Example | Evidence available | Still needed |
|---|---|---|
| Grund and Gozwin · Dun Morogh | Published quest screenshot and bag-reward report | Current-build hand-in and exact location verification |
| Carry Your Weight | Named in the report as a bag source | Route, requirements and current-build reward verification |
| Other starting zones | Possible equivalents | Independent quest and reward confirmation |
Make the extra slots useful
Keep required quest items and useful supplies. At a vendor stop, review low-value items you no longer need; do not sell an unfamiliar quest or crafting item merely to clear a slot. Group selling, repairs and training with an existing town visit.
Measure the benefit as fewer interruptions to your own route, not an invented XP-per-hour improvement. If you already have enough space, an optional bag detour may be less urgent than nearby objectives.
Will Wisp guide me through this quest?
The current tester includes Classic reference routes, not a verified Forever route containing these new bag quests. This article is a free website reference. We will only add a playable instruction after checking prerequisites, objectives and the hand-in in the client.
