How to fit dungeon quests into your WoW Forever leveling route

Use Wisp 1.1’s dungeon detours to choose available quests, save your place in a leveling guide and return to questing when your group is finished.

Your friends want a dungeon. You can keep your place.

A dungeon invitation does not have to mean abandoning your leveling plan. Wisp 1.1.0 lets you choose a dungeon from its Dungeons page, collect the available quests you want and return to the guide afterwards.

The useful part is the preparation. You can see the pickups before you leave, decide how much you want to do, and avoid arriving at the entrance with a group waiting while you work out what you missed.

Our overview shows the guide, navigation and dungeon preparation. The steps below explain the expanded detour controls in version 1.1.0.

Choose a trip from the Dungeons page

Start your leveling guide, then open Wisp’s Dungeons page. On your route shows the trips associated with that guide. Other dungeons lets you look beyond those suggestions.

Open a dungeon and read its suggested levels, entrance and quest information. Tick the available quests you want to collect. Go to dungeon saves your current place and starts the pickups, run and hand-ins. If you are already ready to leave, Skip pickups, go now takes the shorter approach.

If no eligible quest pickups are available, Go to entrance can still provide directions. That does not bypass the game’s level, faction or prerequisite requirements.

Check these before accepting the invitation

  • Look at the quest log count and the projected total after pickups. Leave enough room for the quests you selected.
  • Read the prerequisite information. A quest that becomes available later is not necessarily something you can collect on this trip.
  • Agree with your group about quest stops and hand-ins before setting off.
  • Finish or end another active detour before starting a new one.

Later, Return to route and End detour do different jobs

ChoiceWhat it means
LaterGo back to the leveling route and keep the unfinished detour for another time.
Return to routeResume your saved route. An unfinished detour is kept for later, while a finished one closes.
End detourStop tracking that detour. Its quests remain in your game quest log.

Choose the run you want to do

This is a way to make a dungeon fit your evening, not a claim that repeating dungeons is always the fastest way to level. Travel, your group and the quests you can actually take all affect whether a trip suits you.

If a friend cancels or you change your mind, return to questing. You can pick the detour up later without treating the whole leveling route as a schedule you have failed to follow.

These instructions were checked against Wisp 1.1.0’s released controls. The release still has in-game verification pending. If a pickup is unavailable in the game, check its prerequisites and send us the quest name and addon version.
