WoW Forever tier sets: beta appearances and new bonuses

A first look at Forever class-set models, followed by newer datamined role-specific raid bonuses and dungeon-set changes. Includes credited Warrior previews.

The first model preview now has a newer bonus report

Wowhead’s early class-set gallery shows appearances for all nine classes and associates the models with Hyjal. Its initial note says linked items and bonuses were not yet available. A later 16 September datamine reports new raid-set bonuses as well as changes to existing gear sets.

Those reports describe different stages of the same discovery. It would now be misleading to say that no set bonuses have been datamined. It would also be premature to present the extracted entries as final rewards or a complete boss loot table.

Warrior appearance preview

The selected render below shows a horned helmet, broad pointed shoulders and dark blue plate framed in gold. The front and back views make the silhouette easier to judge than a small thumbnail. The other render at the top of this article includes a red cape.

These are appearance references. We are not assigning either pictured model to a particular tank or damage item without a verified item-to-model match. For the other classes and additional views, follow the original gallery in the sources.

Raid-set entries distinguish between class roles

The newer datamine includes different raid-set entries for roles within a class, including Warrior damage and tanking. The report suggests separate equipment rather than bonuses automatically changing with specialisation, but treats that implementation as an inference.

For planning, keep a separate list for each role you expect to play. Do not assume one acquired set will cover both until the actual items and their behaviour are confirmed.

Dungeon sets are changing too

The same report shows revised Tier 0 and Tier 0.5 bonuses with apparent thresholds at two, three, four, five and six pieces. It also warns that shared data structures can expose Season of Discovery effects, despite efforts to filter them.

Our advice is to compare the next reachable set bonus with the individual item you would replace. A set label alone is not a reason to equip a weaker piece. Keep the comparison at your current level and intended activity; save endgame assumptions for confirmed items.

An appearance preview does not change the loot rules

Blizzard distinguishes eligible-looter appearance collection for bind-on-pickup Uncommon and Rare dungeon items from epic raid appearances, which are awarded to the player the item binds to. The official system also preserves item-type restrictions.

When discussing loot with a group, separate an equipment upgrade from an appearance goal. Agree on the item decision first, and check what the game actually adds to each collection. A promotional render cannot settle a loot-rule question.

What is still missing for a reliable gear recommendation?

A useful recommendation needs the item’s attributes, acquisition method, actual set effect and the alternatives a character can realistically obtain. We have not established that complete chain for these previews, so this article does not label any set best in slot.

For now, save the looks you enjoy and note the roles you want to explore. Once complete items can be checked, compare the benefit of an attainable combination rather than planning around a full set you may not be able to collect.
