WoW Forever Skyborne racials: Attuned, Charged and the new bonuses

How Skyborne Read Leyline and Skysight work after October 26 tuning. Compare Attuned and Charged, their one-hour buffs and their shorter ability effects.

Two short abilities, two longer buffs

Skyborne racial abilities have a new distinction to watch: the ability effect lasts 15 seconds, while a buff earned at the appropriate world feature lasts an hour and strengthens that ability. Both Attuned and Charged survive death.

High Order Skyborne use Read Leyline. Windshaper Skyborne use Skysight. The shared Wind-Blessed haste bonus is now 2%, down from 3%.

How to get Attuned with Read Leyline

Use Read Leyline at a Ley Line to gain Attuned for one hour. While you have Attuned, Read Leyline grants the stronger 100% regeneration bonus when used.

The hour belongs to Attuned. It does not mean your character has doubled regeneration continuously for an hour. The increased regeneration is still the effect of the short ability.

Read Leyline cannot be used while Innervate is active. Blizzard also says Innervate replaces it as the stronger effect, so plan those recovery tools separately instead of expecting them to combine.

How to get Charged with Skysight

Use Skysight at an elemental convergence to gain Charged for one hour. Charged increases Skysight’s movement bonus to 30% when you use the ability.

Again, this is an hour of access to the stronger version. It is not a permanent 30% running bonus for the full hour. The announced Skysight effect lasts 15 seconds.

Fit the buff into your journey

Our suggestion is to use a Ley Line or convergence when it fits the route you are already taking. Spending several minutes on a detour for a short burst can defeat the reason you wanted the bonus.

Start with your faction’s route, then note useful world features you encounter along the way. If you play with friends, agree on the next quest hub before someone takes a separate trip to refresh a buff. You can always revisit a known location during a natural return journey.

These changes make old screenshots and tooltip summaries easy to misread. When checking a guide, look for the October 26 values and keep the duration of the buff separate from the duration of the ability.
