WoW Forever Dalaran attunement: Horde quest order and sewer key
Prepare for the City of Dalaran dungeon as Horde. Follow the Tarren Mill quest order, separate optional side quests and find when you receive the Dalaran Sewer Key.
Start with Magus Wordeen Voidglare in Tarren Mill
Horde players can prepare for the City of Dalaran dungeon through a quest sequence beginning in Tarren Mill. The route reported by Farmerfarms and Wowhead ends with Heart of Disruption in your log and a Dalaran Sewer Key in your keyring.
The October 6 report describes preparation for the dungeon to open. Having the key does not by itself confirm that the instance is available in your current beta build. This guide covers that preparation, not a completed dungeon run.

The Horde quest order at a glance
Follow the Magus’s quests and check each hand-in before travelling onward. The Grimy Key used early in the chain and the Dalaran Sewer Key provided at the end are different items.

Stone Tokens and Bracers of Binding are separate side quests
The reported route also picks up Stone Tokens and Bracers of Binding from Keeper Bel’varil. They share the area with your other objectives, which makes them sensible extras if you want the quest rewards.
Newer player feedback on Blood in the Streets says the Keeper’s quests are not required for the attunement. We have not independently tested that prerequisite. Treat them as optional area quests, rather than a reason to delay checking the next quest from Magus Wordeen Voidglare.
Finish the handoff at the exterior sewer entrance
Blood in the Streets sends you toward the northern edge of Dalaran, by Lordamere Lake. Follow the exterior sewer approach to the Image of Archmage Modera. You do not need to plan this as a trip through the Alliance city’s shops.
At Modera, finish the handoff and check Heart of Disruption. Its quest record provides the Dalaran Sewer Key. Before returning to your leveling route, confirm that the quest and key are both present. The Arcane Mote is the dungeon objective, not another item to farm outside to get the key.
Watch the route before heading out
Farmerfarms’ walkthrough shows the attunement route used in Wowhead’s report. Use it for the journey and NPC context, alongside the distinction above between the Magus’s chain and optional Keeper quests.
If the next quest is missing
Check your active log and the Magus’s dialogue before assuming the chain is broken. A completed objective still needs its hand-in. If you already accepted Blood in the Streets, inspect the provided quest item and its destination before going back to farm another key.
If the expected follow-up is still absent, record the last quest you handed in, your character level and the client build. That is more useful for a beta report than abandoning the whole chain. We have not verified a universal minimum level or a fixed Grimy Key drop chance, so neither is a troubleshooting rule here.
Make the trip part of your leveling plan
Finish nearby objectives together, return for the Magus’s follow-ups, then make the journey to Modera. Before a dungeon session, agree with your group whether everyone is ready or needs the outdoor chain first.
