WoW Forever new zones and travel: Riverglades, Hyjal and the roads between

Blizzard’s Found Photos recap explains new regions, ship connections and changes to familiar areas. Here is how to prepare an exploration plan.

Azeroth’s early era is the starting point

Blizzard’s Found Photos recap places Forever in original WoW’s early era, within its own time bubble. The approach develops local stories and overlooked places while staying rooted in the original world.

Places and connections to watch

Riverglades is described as a mid-level region with nearly 200 quests for both factions. Powderfuse Port connects it to the Steamwheedle ship route from Tanaris. Other announced ship connections include Stormwind–Auberdine and a route linking Menethil, Southshore and Auberdine.

Mount Hyjal explores the aftermath of its famous battle. Shen’dralas opens south of Desolace through the Valley of Bones, while Wetlands and Desolace gain further quest content. Zephras Isle introduces the Skyborne’s troubled island home. Starting areas also receive additions.

Our advice: separate curiosity from route efficiency

An exploration session succeeds when you find something you wanted to see. An efficiency test needs a different record: travel time, objectives completed and a clear start and finish. Decide which session you are having before judging the result.

If you are adapting an old route, keep a short list of assumptions to verify. Record where a journey actually begins, the destination you reach, and the safest return point. Do not turn a line on a map into a precise instruction until you have followed it.

A useful exploration note

After a detour, write enough detail that you could repeat it next week without guessing. A screenshot can help, but include a written landmark and the date as well.

  • Starting location and active quests.
  • Transport used and where you arrived.
  • Any visible access requirement or unexpected obstacle.
  • A sensible place to rejoin your previous route.

What this means for the guide library

We will keep world overviews separate from tested directions. A newly announced destination is worth investigating, but it does not automatically belong in every character’s path. The existing levelling guide gives you a preparation framework; the dungeon overview helps you identify possible group detours. Combine those with your own goals before deciding where to head first.
